  I have one, I put it on her changing table. I've heard it helps entertain them during outfit/diaper changes. They are safe until baby can reach them, then they need to be taken down.

  @sgautschi, I can't believe tomorrow is the day!  So excited!

  I want one, but couldn't find one I liked. I have heard the babies like them when they are older (maybe 4 months old)

  My two love them! I skipped out on them at first, but they love the one in their pack n play so I went out and bought two.

  Both seemed to enjoy the one that came with the pack n play but are also just as happy staring at the ceiling fans.  I never got one for the crib because I didn't want them stimulated by them and thinking it was playtime when they were in their crib.

  I made my mobile. E seemed to like it, but once he could sit (4.5 months) I took it down. Now he plays with the toys so it worked out well.

  Backseat, impressive!! Also, sitting at 4.5!? Mine seem so far from sitting on their own we're almost 5 months!

  Before you give me too much credit, I bought the toys and them attached them to a mobile frame that is meant for hanging pictures. It didn't really take any skill. I originally planned to make the monsters but when I saw these on sale I couldn't pass them up.

  never had one. i made one long after LO was born and put it up over the changing pad. he was interested mildly. then we moved not long after and it's never been unpacked. not worth it, IMO.

  We kind of had a mobile. We got a soother that has white noise and a mobile. We really only used it at night for the white noise, though, and L never really paid attention to the mobile. I took the mobile off once he was sitting up.

  My mobile was more decorative than anything else. I used a picture hanger thing like backseat but I clipped on these origami owls we made for the baby shower. We had a big one for Daddy, medium for Mommy and a small one for baby and then slightly smaller ones on all the other clips. It was cute and hung high enough she couldn't reach it.
