So, I know that this board has been very successful in the past in sending good vibes when people are job hunting!
DH and I both have applications out right now...
I think I've mentioned a bunch of times that we're moving to the D.C. area as soon as I'm done with my Ph.D. A few weeks ago, I applied for a science policy fellowship at the National Academies of Sciences, it's very competitive and I only have about a 10% change (probably less than that this year because the lack of science funding is pushing Ph.D. grads into "alternative careers"). I haven't head anything yet, but I should know by the end of this month.
DH applied for a physician's assistant job at a primary care office in D.C. He's making the switch to primary care from emergency medicine because the hours in the E.R. stink. He had 1 phone interview on Tuesday and another one today. Things seem to be going well, because they want to set up an in person interview soon.
I'd appreciate if this board can work it's magic powers and send us some good vibes!
