Re: QOTD 10/4

  • The third Lord of the Rings movie makes me cry like none other. That movie is 10 years old, I've seen it countless times, and it still gets to me.

I also tend to mist up randomly at Disney movies and stuff from my childhood because I'm a giant sap, LOL.

  • I have never cried from a movie or a book.  DH cries all the time at movies and I tease him really badly about it.  He always blames it on his "Man period."
  • I literally cannot watch Up, and Toy Story 3 destroyed me.

  • I don't usually cry watching movies. And, I've dubbed myself the ice queen when reading books. But, the book If I Stay by Gayle Forman had me sobbing. It is a story about a girl in a coma, and my mom had recently been in a medically induced coma after almost dying, so it hit really close to home.

  • Tons of movies, book, and even TV shows make me cry.  The last thing that made me cry was the book Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner.  And I might actually be the only person to ever cry reading it.  Some times it all depends on the mood I'm in that day I guess.... sappy or ice queen... LOL.

  • I completely lose is when i watch UP!  DH and I are childhood sweethearts, so that movie hits too close to home!

Fun fact: I never cried in movies until I saw Beaches. I sobbed like a baby at the end of that movie! Now I cry all the time. Beaches broke the ice queen LOL!

  • I'm another Up crier!  That movie is just too much in the beginning!  The Notebook, Titanic, any love story where one or both of them passes away.

I'm a big baby when it comes to Disney or animation movies in general.  I cried watching Frankenweenie!  I mean seriously!!  I also cry when an animal dies in any movie.  Marley and Me was a total tear jerker for me. I actually refuse to watch certain movies if I know an animal will die.

    I'm basically a huge sap!

  • Everyone cries at Up...that's why I've never watched it!

  • I have not been able to watch Up or Toy Story 3 because DH saw them and said that they are really sad.  I think that he diesn't want me to watch them because he thinks that he is going to cry and doesn't want me to see him cry.

The 2 books that made me really cry were My Sister's Keeper and The Fault in our Stars.  They were the slobbery cry.

As for movies, PS I Love You made me cry and Beaches too.  I am sure that there were others that made me tear up.

  • Everything...I even cried at the end of 50 Shades of Grey.  Forget about movies, you name it, I cry during it.  The worst is Marley and Me or Mr. Holland's Opus.  Book wise, the worst was Dear John.  I cried so hard I had to stop reading for like 45 minutes.  H always laughs at me when he walks into a room and I'm crying over a movie.  I even cry at movies that aren't sad, like Drive me Crazy.

  • I definitely cry more at books than anything else, but I can't think of an example at this moment. I can get misty eyed at movies but I rarely cry. One that gets me just about every time is I Am Sam. Oh my goodness, it's so heartbreaking.

  • The Lovely Bones! never saw the movie, but want to. Was crying hysterically in a car with my dad while I tried to finish it, he was worried while I tried to blubber at him to shut up so I could finish the book.

  • Marley and me, both the book and movie, made me cry.

The Odd Life of Timothy Green makes DH and I both cry in the beginning of the movie because it involves infertility. Something that hit close to home. I get teary and DH cries at the end. But the beginning...I full out sobbed and that was the second time I watched it!
