Weekend plans

Hi everybody.  What's going on this weekend?

Tonight: today is my kid's 2nd birthday!  We are taking him to Friendly's for a treat :)

Tomorrow is said child's birthday party.  I am really excited.

Sunday: A low key day.  We may go visit my sister who just gave me my 2nd most adorable niece.

Tonight: house chores, watch a movie, catch up on the TV we missed last night when we fell asleep early.

Saturday: farmer's market, food truck festival in downtown Phoenixville then lots of rest!

Sunday: Blues Cruise 50K race!!!! Followed by beer for the first time in 3 weeks (the mister and me are doing a nutrition challenge and haven't had any beer).

Monday: OFF. Resting my legs after running 31 miles.
  • Tonight: Girls night. The boys are going upstate to scope out their hunting spots.

Saturday: Danica has gymnastics in the morning and then we are headed to a certain someone's 2nd birthday party.

Sunday: Danica has swim lessons and then I'm headed to a Coach bag bingo and then directly to a baby shower.

  • I took A to her first dance class tonight- she loved it!  Then, when DH got home, we went and grabbed some dinner.  Now it's nearly 1am and I am losing my mind trying to rush around and get everything in the car for tomorrow, plus get the house straightened in case any showings come up last minute this weekend.

Tomorrow I have swim lessons with the kids, then a baby shower that A is coming to with me (she was invited specifically- I'm not just bringing her, I promise!).

Sunday I want to go get our dogs blessed at Church.

Have a ton of other stuff to fit in somewhere- food shopping, some errands, straightening out some bills, blah blah blah.  I am feeling so super stressed lately, between so much to do and this house sale stuff and the kids having had an extra rough week...I am really hoping to get a second to de-stress too- maybe get a pedicure or at the very least watch a show online uninterrupted or something.

  • Friday-- I had the day off to prep for the monster's birthday party. After we put him to bed, JEGs made dinner, we shared a bottle of wine, and spent some quality time together without the TV on.

Saturday-- Hunter's 2nd birthday party and it was a BLAST!  It was a Cars theme, and JEGs spray painted a big track in the back yard for the kids to race around.

Sunday-  NOTHING.  and it was awesome.  After dinner we went for a walk, but got caught in a down pour.  Since it was only like an hour before Hunter's bath time, I just let him play in the rain and splash in the puddles.

  • Jess-- how did V's party go?  Did you do a Micky Mouse theme, or am I totally making that up?

We actually did MM last year! He's still just as obsessed though. His "theme" if you can even call it that, because it was just his invites and cake, was Sesame Street.

We had the party at Giggleberry Fair in Peddler's Village. It was a little chaotic (but hey it was a 2 y/o's bday so I think that's to be expected) but I would definitely recommend them. Very responsibly priced too!
