Author Pamela Morsi emailed me back!

So excited because I wrote an email to an author (Pamela Morsi) about her latest book (Love Overdue) and she emailed me back the next day! She answered my questions, talked about her process, and told me the original ending she planned for the book. Made my day!!

I'd written to her because I LOVED the entire book except the ending. There was an epilogue so you know what eventually happened for the characters, but it was like the juiciest scene was skipped!  So, I asked if she would consider writing a bonus chapter and post it on her website for her fans.  She responded and said that "You are not alone in wishing I'd written another scene, a different scene, a better scene..."  Wow!  (And it's true based on the Goodreads reviews I read later.)   I felt a little bad about writing to her!  She told me about her thoughts and problems she foresees with writing the scene I requested, but "Let me think about it. If I can come up with something that works, I'll write it and let you know."  Sweet.

I just thought it was so thoughtful of her to respond to my email and, of course, now I need to get more of her books.  I wrote back and told her all the scenes I liked most in the book.

I am kind of having a fangirl moment. Thanks for letting me gush about this.  :)

  • I love when authors do this. Jodi Picoult answers her fans' emails as well, I wrote her once and I got a response a day or two later.

  • Neat. It always makes me like authors more when they take time to answer emails and tweets from readers.
