***headdesk***

My instructor for our birthing class just emailed me. She told me that we are going to visit the maternity ward today (yay! They play a lullaby over the loud speaker every time a baby is born and I love hearing it!).

She then proceeds to tell me that she's been really, really sick all week and hopes I'll forgive her for "coughing up a lung" during class.

So, we are going to have a lady who is extremely sick trapped in a classroom with a bunch of pregnant ladies and then head into the hospital maternity ward with a bunch of babies? This sounds smart...

I better see a mask on her face.

  • Oh, that should be fun. I really hope you see a mask on her face, too! Either that or she should bring them for the (very vulnerable) pregnant women who will be there...

  • What I think is insane is that I emailed her to double check where we were meeting (at the hospital or classroom) and this was her response. She didn't send out a mass email saying she is sick. So all the other girls are going to walk in blindsided by this.

  • Well, in her defense (*cough cough*) maybe she is over the sickness but has that lingering cough that stays for awhile. I have it but for your sake, I hope you don't get sick. It sucks.

I hope this is the case. I had a sucky immune system before pregnancy. She probably had like a minor cold and I'd end up with the plague lol
