BR tragedy

I'm leaving work in a few minutes to go to an appointment at the slowest doctor's office in the world, and I forgot my book at home today.  :(

Luckily, I have a couple of environmental ethics and environmental philosophy books on my office shelf (ya know, to make me look smart), so I will bring one of those.

But, gah!  I was SO looking forward to that 30 or 40 minutes in the waiting room with my current book!

Re: BR tragedy

  • That is truly a tragedy!  Hope those environmental ethics books are interesting!!

  • I hate when this happens! I've started putting my book in my purse the night before. I'll finish reading, put it in my purse, and then get ready for bed. So I'm always safe and I always have a book when I need one.  :-B

Maybe they'll be super fast today and you won't have to wait long. :(

Knowning me I would end up buying the ebook version and reading it on my phone.

  • That sucks.  I put a Nook app and an overdrive app on my phone so I can read on my phone at appointments like this.

  • This is why I carry a real book, my ipad and my iphone.  No matter what, if I forget one or the other in another bag, at least I always have one or the other and I always have a book with me.

  • This is why I love the kindle app. I don't have to worry about forgetting my book/kindle.
  • I second what everyone else has said. I do tend to keep multiple books (and apps) all around so I'm never without a book! Heck I even pulled up my laptop during intermission at a concert recently and read during intermission
  • I hate carrying around my ipad, and I only read e-books occasionally anyway, so that probably wouldn't even help.  I wish I could put my book in my bag the night before, but I read in bed and pretty much always fall asleep reading!  My environmental ethics book worked out fine.  Well, that and some Candy Crush!
  • I would leave early and go to the bookstore, I'm not even joking.

  • Glad your environmental ethics book worked out!  I think you should keep your bag next to the bed when you go to sleep.  You'll never be book-less again!
