Today Dh and I met with an RE for the first time. We were there for over an hour and a half talking to the RE, the nurse that we're assigned to and the financial counselor. The RE is really nice and the nurse seems fantastic. He reviewed my charts and history and told me to stop temping because from here on out they'll be controlling/monitoring my cycles. Although my regular obgyn said I didn't have PCOS, the RE seems to believe I might so we'll be testing for that again. I'm on CD23 now and he said for me to wait until CD35 to see if I get AF myself, if not, they'll bring me in for a lack of menses evaluation and then start me on provera. Once AF starts, one way or the other, I'll do bloodwork between CD 2-4 (they have 23 different things checked for the bloodwork, holy cow), schedule an HSG and they also want to do a saline sono. Dh can get his bloodwork done at any time and is submitting his S/A on November 13th, which was the earliest appointment they had. Then we'll have a follow up appointment on November 20th to go over the results of everything and come up with a plan.
The RE said ideally he'd like me to be at the same BMI that my obgyn wants me at but that he can see all of the progress I've made from my charts and that he sees no reason not to move forward at my current weight (YAY!). The financial counselor also confirmed that our insurance covers 90% of treatments/procedures after our deductible is hit and that we have a $24k life time max which we're so thankful about. I need to call our prescription plan to see what the coverage is like for meds. The nurse gave me a script for a prenatal but recommended a over the counter one because it'd probably be cheaper which it was, so I picked that up today. She also gave me prescriptions for an anti-biotic for the HSG and a prescription for Met but told me to wait until we get the bloodwork results back before starting that one.
So now we just wait until AF shows up and then we'll officially get started. I'm so excited to finally have a plan after 19 months of TTC and over 5 years of NNT.
Thanks for listening, I just felt like I needed to type it all out to get it in order in my head
