We don't need no stinking badges!

Well the Pirates are out of the playoffs. So sad. They had a great season! I'm kind of glad they're out, though, because now I won't have to see a hundred FB statuses about them. It got pretty annoying. Especially since I know a lot of those people don't even really like baseball or the Bucs are were just bandwagon fans. Silly people.

So get this. For my A&P project, my professor tells me I'm not allowed to use a picture from our textbook in my project, even if I cite that it came from the book. I don't understand that. How can I get away with using words from the textbook, but not images?! And I'm really annoyed because there's this really sweet picture of the eye in our book I want to use but now can't. WTF. This project has me all worked up.

I think my job interview went well yesterday! I'm keeping my fingers crossed I get called for a second interview. They said we'll know within a week, so I'm hoping it's more like a couple days. haha!

Re: We don't need no stinking badges!

  • I am sad the bucs are out! I don't really have a team in the playoffs but I was rooting for them. Although Waka, the Cards rookie pitcher who threw a no hitter into the 8th inning in game 5, went to A&M while I was there. So that was pretty exciting.

So that picture in the book, does it have a source you could follow to find a different version of the same picture? Kind of a work around?

Today is my surgery day it's crazy full ahh. And I think one of my surgeries is not going to go well. The prognosis is really poor but the owner wants to take a chance :-\ I hate those situations.

  • Happy Thursday. It has to be better than Wednesday I think. Yesterday sucked! I had a teething girl, a girl who was just whiney and then ds who was happy. It was a long loud morning but thankfully after afternoon nap every was happy and smiley! I was very close to losing my mind. A friend stopped by for a bit which was handy. I'm hoping today is much better. I don't want to have to tell my new girls parents that I just can't do it. Oh and our fridge died yesterday!! Yeah!

Jlq- that's dumb about the picture! Im glad your interview went well!! I hope you hear soon!

Aggie-good luck with the surgeries! I fear anything happening to Bauer that would require surgery or extra medical attention. With everything having gone wrong with the house lately everytime Bauer does something stupid that could result in a vet trip I threaten him and it seems to work. For example, he was running around our living room like an idiot one day (he's a 2 year old lab so still lots of pup in him) and ran into the baseboard heater (that we don't use but is still here). He hurt his paw and started limping so I told him to suck it up or we'd amputate!! He's fine now! Oh animals. As much as he drives me nuts I love him.

  • ::achoo!::

    That sums up me.
  • Morning! I am sad about the Bucs as well. I was routing for them as they hadn't been good in awhile. I don't have a team now. Whoever beats the Red Soxs I guess.

JLQ: Good luck on the project and fingers crossed.

Echo: Hope today is better than yesterday.

    Aggie: Good luck as well!

Joy: I hear you on that one! I am more like ::bed::

  • Man today and yesterday are like compete opposites. I've had moments where we've had tears but it's all manageable. The biggest issue is the little one uses a soother and be older one just does for naps but she doesn't like that idea at all so she was very upset at one point this morning.

Now I'm folding laundry and the little one is playing until she goes to bed between 1:30/2.
  • My professor told me to just trace the picture. Because somehow that's not plagiarism. wtf. I think he forgot what plagiarism means.
Also, I got a call for a second interview!! I'm so happy! Thanks for all your well wishes!! I need to call her back Monday to set it up.
And I got a free tshirt and free cup of hot chocolate today on campus for homecoming week! It put me in a better mood. My period started today so I was all RARGH!

Aggie - I hope your surgery went well! I'm sure it's hard to do a surgery when the outcome is more likely to be poor.
Echo - Is a soother a pacifier? Or just some cool thing only Canadians have? Also, happy early Thanksgiving!
Joy - Hope you feel better soon!
    Degrea - Hiii!!

  • Ahh yeah jlq! Congrats on the second interview!! And your prof seems super smart.

    Soother=pacifier.

Cool things Canadians have - smarties!! The chocolate kind. I want some now.
  • Thanks JLQ for asking because I had no idea what Echo was talking about. HAHA! Happy Thanksgiving Echo!

  • I kind of wanted soother to be some sweet Canadian baby thing. lol!
The US has smarties, too, but they aren't chocolate. Are the chocolate ones kind of like m&ms?

Do you guys remember friends wedding anniversaries? Particularly a friend whose wedding you were in. My best friend from high school's anniversary is today, and I totally forgot until just now and I felt really bad. So I texted her to say happy anniversary and that I hope they were having a good day and she just said "thanks", which is unusual because usually she'll elaborate on what they did/are doing. I hope she's not mad.

  • Sorry about the infection your patient got, Aggie. :(
Do you call them patients? I mean, you take care of them, so why not right? I guess I just think of a "patient" being human. But I think it can apply to animals!

  • Lol yes they are patients and their owners are clients. :-). Sometimes it's weird trying to keep everyone straight. Yeah the infection has been there for a while it appears so everything was so angry inside. He didn't wake up feeling any better :( which makes me sad.

  • Poor guy!!
  • oh no!  I'm sorry, Aggie.  What a rough day for you, the lil guy and his owners :-(
  • Sorry Aggie! Poor kitty!

JLQ: I haven't ever been in some one wedding so I am not sure. But I can say that no one who was non-family remember to send us a card on our anniversary and I wasn't mad. Maybe she was just busy.
