I'm seriously wondering if I can get out of going to our friends' daughter's birthday party on Sunday. DH would probably be pissed if I didn't go, since he did ask (back on Monday, before I knew we were out for the cycle) if we were going, and I said it was up to him, but I'd been planning to go. Now though, I just really don't want to.

I would like to ring Apple's effing neck. I downloaded the first update after iOS7, and it restored my phone to factory. I lost everything. Yes, I should have backed it up, but damn!

Unfortunately Spongie, yes I can. When we had OUR housewarming party 3 years ago, with all my family and friends there. Ex-SIL announced they were expecting #3. And she knew that we were having trouble. And that I thought I might be announcing at my housewarming party, but I told her the day before that my hunch was wrong and I was on my period. But she did it anyway, even though she only knew us and MIL, FIL and ain't and uncle. All other guests awkwardly said congrats. It was the meanest thing and most selfish thing anyone has ever done. Keep your own shit at your own parties people.
OP did you end up staying home?
I was pretty annoyed though. Not to sound like Bridezilla, but that was my party.

The birthday party is at 4 today. DH understands it'll be hard for me, but I haven't backed out of going altogether. I need to go get a birthday gift, we'll make an appearance, and hopefully we don't have to stay too long. I'm trying not to think about it until I have to.

T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.
