T&Ps Please: Subchorionic Hemorrhage
I ended up in the ER yesterday with some spotting (that stopped by last night). Diagnosed with Subchorionic Hemorrhage and threatened miscarriage. So far baby is okay. The heartbeat was 166. Told to rest, drink lots of fluids and follow up with my Dr today or tomorrow. I woke up this morning to more spotting/bleeding. I am now having to wear a pad. I'm super scared.
Has anyone had any experiences with SCH that has turned out okay?
TTC for 18 months. IUI #1 BFP= EDD 5/23/14. Progesterone Suppositories and Levothyroxine started. First U/S 9/27
Re: T&Ps Please: Subchorionic Hemorrhage
They just closely monitored me at MFM with several follow up ultrasounds up until my A/S. I also was told absolutely no heavy lifting and to relax with my feet up as much as possible and drink tons of water. Mine finally disappeared around week 20.
My Ob told me it is one of top causes for bleeding in the first tri and that it happens to the majority of women in some point in their pregnancy. They will eventually drain (which is why you are bleeding) or reabsorb into the uterus. Usually, the SCHs bother the mom more than it actually bothers the baby
Feel better!
Relax, rest and feel better today.

At 6.5 weeks I went to the bathroom and filled the toilet with bright red blood, we thought for sure the pregnancy was over with, went to the RE, and we saw a flutter of a heartbeat for the first time. The RE did see a black area on the ultrasound and thought it was SCH. I bleed for about 1-2 days on and off, and now I am 24 weeks pregnant!
A friend of mine, had a very large SCH, and bled large amounts of blood, plus tissue. She thought for sure she was miscarrying, went to the ER, saw a beautiful heartbeat. She was diagnosed with a SCH. She had a few bleeding episodes throughout her pregnancy but delivered a healthy baby boy last May! She is now pregnant again and has never bled this pregnancy.
Stay positive!

From what I understand they typically will resolve by being reabsorbed or bleeding out and depending on location are usually not as scary as they seem. Hope it resolves quickly!
