Cathy is lucky enough to not have to work today. So I'll post for the rest of us stuck at work.
Do you have baby names picked out for your future children?
If you have kids, did you have names picked out before TTC? Did you stick with that name?
Re: QOTD 10/14
We never agreed on a girl's name until my grandma passed away last January. She was born in Montana and used to always sing that song 'my home's in Montana.' I suggested it to H and figured he wouldn't like it, but he loved it. So, our future children will be Lennon and Montana. I also LOVE the name Jolene for a second girl, but H hates it (he associates it with the Dolly Parton song, lol)
Other than that H doesn't care. I've recently liked George Everett after our dads. My dad is George and Everett is H's dad middle name. Hoping since they named the prince George it's not going to get popular.
I like Emily, Claire, julianna, for girls names, but so far my favorite is Eliza Mae.
We haven't really talked about it much. I haven't really thought about it much either. One afternoon while stuck in traffic, I actually thought about it for a little bit and thought Aubrey Kate would be an adorable name for a girl. One of my good friends had texted me earlier to let me know she was on her way to the hospital. They have boy/girl twins, and had two sets of names picked out. They had not let anyone, even family, know anything about what they were thinking. Later in the day, I get a text that Aubrey Kay had entered the world! I guess Aubrey Kate is out of the running now! LOL! Weird that while she was giving birth is the only time I've ever decided to think about names... must have just been a mental connection at the moment or something
Then, we got pregnant and really began thinking about names. Our last name has 10 letters. As a teacher, I cringe thinking of Charlotte 10 letter last name learning how to write her name. It would take her months! H really likes Olivia and I think it sounds pretty with our last name. If we have a girl, she will be Olivia Charlotte. We have never agreed on a boy's name.
ETA- I am not pregnant. I meant when we got pregnant and I miscarried.
My H is Trey. It is his legal name, because his mother did not want to give him his father's name (it is pretty awful). So, they compromised and named him Trey.
The girl name we picked was Catherine Edith.
