Do you wing it or bring a list? Yes Do you stick to your list? Partially
Do you look for deals before you shop? Yes. I browse the sale ads, and search for coupons on items we need.
Do you have a budget? Yes, I'm anal like that. Do you usually stick to that budget? We're usually slightly over, but other weeks we will be under. So it evens out.
What are your must haves every shopping trip? Milk, eggs, yogurt, lettuce, and some sort of fruit.
What do you splurge on? Booze.

-Sometimes I wing it and sometimes I have a list. When I do have a list, I usually add extras

-Bottled water, fruit, pepsi, chips.

-Meat
Do you wing it or bring a list? Do you stick to your list? Yes and yes. Sometimes we buy 1-2 things not on the list, but we try to stick with it.
Do you look for deals before you shop? Yes, I look for coupons and sale items.
Do you have a budget? Do you usually stick to that budget? Not explicltly, but we always stay within a general range.

We always spend around $100.00 Biweekly on groceries. It's not a budget but its what we always end up spending.

Do you wing it or bring a list? Do you stick to your list? I bring a really detailed list that is based on what I want to make for the week. I stick to it pretty strictly unless I see a sale or clearance on something else I want.
Do you look for deals before you shop? Not really, I only shop at 2 groceries stores usually and I find it's not really worth it for me to coupon or search for amazing sales because I'd just end up spend more time and gas driving to other stores.
Do you have a budget? Do you usually stick to that budget? Yes, I try to, but it can be really hard to do because of prices of meat. I try to spend no more than $80 for 2 weeks. Keep in mind, there's only 2 of us and I'm stocked up on a lot of items like pasta and our freezer is stocked with homemade stuff that I do in big batches. Probably every 2 months I go way over budget, but I'm buying the stuff to make that stuff. If it's for any reason other than that it's because we're entertaining and I need to buy extra supplies for that.
What are your must haves every shopping trip? Peanut butter, bread, milk, eggs, Cheerio's, snack foods.
What do you splurge on? I refuse to buy cheap coffee and tea. Sometimes it's candy.. sometimes it's for a special dinner that I'm making.

If I have specific things I need or want to make I'll bring a list and usually buy more than what's on it. If I don't have ideas of what I want to cook, I'll wander around to see what catches my interest or what's on sale.

What are your must haves every shopping trip? Fruit and veggies. We get milk delivered weekly otherwise that would be another must have.
What do you splurge on? Cheese. I love cheese and some of it is quite expensive, but totally worth it IMO.
I would also say craft beer but the grocery store doesn't carry what we normally want so we go to an actual beer/liquor store for our alcohol needs.

I bring a list for my meal planning and so I don't forget stuff but always get more than what is on the list.
I don't look for deals but I collect coupons when I get them and try to use them for stuff we already buy. We always shop at the same grocery store because it is the cheapest but I am thinking we could switch to a better store if I did more coupons and deals.
We always have a number we need to stay under and we have gotten really good at following the budget.
Must haves are milk, bread, salad, produce, pepsi
We splurge on candy once a month and we each get a treat like cookies or chips. We always pay extra for quality toilet paper and tin foil.
Oh and we go to a local meat shop for most of our meat. It is cheaper and fresh so much tastier. They always have weekly deals.

Do you look for deals before you shop? We shop at Kroger and Aldi, so I usually go online to look at coupons on the Kroger site.

one last IVF attempt April/May 2013: 19 retrieved. 10 fertilized. 2 transferred in a 3dt. 4 frosties... BFP!!
EDD: 1/21/14... Induced early at 36+6. Our LO was born 12/30/13

What are your must haves every shopping trip? Almond milk for DS is pretty much the standard every trip thing. The other trips are week by week depending on what we need or are planning to make
What do you splurge on? Nothing really I'd call splurging. We aren't big sweets eaters, so when I crave a cake or something I'll buy the stuff to mix or something but other than that, nothing really

Do you stick to your list? - I usually get more based on seeing things I forgot we needed. I'm not a huge impulse shopper so that's not really an issue.
Do you look for deals before you shop? - I look for coupons on Krogers website if I remember and I do clip coupons for things we already need. I never look at sale ads though and think I should start. I won't go all over town though.
Do you have a budget? - It varies week to week based on what we need. I put a rough budget in mind and stick as closely to that as I can.
What are your must haves every shopping trip? - DH packs a lunch every day so lunch meat and other various items like yogurt and granola bars for him. Otherwise the usual like lettuce, salad mix, a fruit, milk.
What do you splurge on? - Toilet paper.
