  • 1) I had a doughnut this morning.
    2) I have a dentist appointment after work and I HATE the dentist.
    3) I'm going to cut down my caffeine intake starting this week.
    4) My dog got stung by a bee on his foot this weekend and he was limping and holding his paw in the air for an hour. Broke my heart :-(
    5) If I got PG this cycle or next cycle my kid would be due during the Leo sign either way... thought that was cool.
    6) I get to see my sister and nephew this weekend.
    7) My hometown is having a huge festival this weekend and I'm going.
    8) I'm upset because my sister made plans for Saturday night to go out with her friends instead of spending time with me.
    9) My sister is going to start TTC at the end of November, right about the time I hit 1 year.
    10) I feel so down about my eating habits lately, every time I tell myself I'm going to change and go back to my low carb life style I end up eating a doughnut or chips...

  • 1. I wasn't at work yesterday because one of our best friend's father died suddenly last week and yesterday was the funeral mass.

    2. I won't be at work tomorrow because it is the burial.

    3. I wish I wasn't at work today.

    4. The mood swings I have been experiencing the last 3 days since the end of Clomid are insane.

    5. DH is being such an awesome person with the swings, he brings me things when I get sad and just laughs when I'm suddenly all energized and happy.

    6. Seriously, how do you ladies deal with these swings?

    7. I have 8 lbs of apples from apple picking and I have too many ideas of what to do with them!

    8. I have 4 very overripe bananas that need baking but I don't want to make banana bread, ideas anyone?

    9. It's almost lunch time.

    10. I'm freaking out over our new insurance that comes in effect Nov 1st because the rep said we have a $10,000 lifetime limit on IF coverage which is a huge change from our current plan of unlimited lifetime coverage. I have an email in waiting for a response as to if our rep was wrong because HR feels like he is. FX!

  • 1. I seriously need to get motivated about toning up my stomach and thighs... and arms... and the rest of my body.

    2. I am so thankful for these past two days off of work.

    3. I can't wait to go pick up my daughter in a couple hours. I miss her when she is at her dad's house.

    4. I have three packages I'm waiting to be delivered and I can't wait!

    5. I really wish my fiancé would be as passionate about cleanliness as I am.

    6. I can't wait until my engagement party this Sunday.

    7. I wish our government would get their sh*t together. Seriously.

    8. I can't believe I forgot to pay my car note.... This has never happened to me before.

    9. There is absolutely nothing on tv during the day.

    10. I have random thoughts about married life....

  • 1. Everyone in our office has a cold, and it sucks.

    2. We're ready to post a sign on the door that says to call the office, or risk getting sick.

    3. It's rainy and gloomy here today, and it makes me want to curl up on the couch and read a book.

    4. Like @sparklingdiamond I'm also in need of a new book to read.

    5. H leaves for Vegas this weekend, and I'm excited to have the house to myself.

    6. I'm going to purge H's office while he's gone, and re-organize my office.

    7. Or I just might download a new book, and lay on the couch all weekend.

    8. My mom and I are going out to lunch, and I'm excited to try a new place that just opened up by my office.

    9. Due to it raining, that means my parents aren't in the field.  Them not being in the field means constant text messages, and begging to go to lunch.

    10. Is it 5 yet?

  • @islandmonkey8 Cut them up, and put them into a freezer bag to use for smoothies.  Use them instead of ice, and then add your fresh fruit.  My favorite is frozen bananas, peanut butter, almond milk, and a splash of chocolate syrup. YUM!

You can also freeze them to use later in banana bread.

  • @Sewilson33 - sorry about your doggie; poor thing!!!
@islandmonkey8 - whenever I have overripe bananas and don't feel like baking I usually make smoothies. A few bananas, cashew butter, a little honey, almond milk (usually chocolate), and a handful of spinach (you can't taste it, I swear!) for good measure and voila!

    1. My boss is working from home today, which means I can spend some time going through our wedding pictures and picking our favorites.

    2. I'm not excited about having to go through almost 3,000 pictures and pick 700! And then narrow them down even further for our albums. I almost want to tell the photographer I trust her to pick the best ones lol.

    3. DH really is the best.  He threw me a party this weekend (which I didn't know about until a few hours before) and had my cake made to taste like our wedding cake (yellow cake, buttercream icing, and nutella and fresh strawberry filling... yum!)

    4. DH also got me a new coach purse. She's so pretty!

    5. My parents drove down from NJ to surprise me on Saturday too... they're awesome.

    6. My mom had cookies made in the shape of tiaras and shoes. They were gorgeous and so delicious!

    7. Because of some of the above I feel major guilt that I didn't do a lot for H's birthday in July. I know I love birthdays much more than he does, but I'll have to make next year's super special for him.

    8. I am nervous about going to my best friend's baby shower this Saturday. This is the friend who had her baby 4 months early last month. She's doing really well but I'm not comfortable with her having a shower before the baby is home form the hospital; it just doesn't sit right with me. But it's not my call and I wouldn't miss it for the world, no matter what.

    9. The polish I put on on Saturday (Thanks again, NSA!!!) is still on and barely chipping, which is amazing.

    10. H made a comment about how awesome it would be to be able to "make an announcement" at Thanksgiving, but he also wants to throw my fertility monitor out the window and just "let things happen."  I think he's playing mind games with himself too. If it makes him feel better not to say we're actively trying, fine.  But we are. And we both know it.

  • 1) Having 3-day weekends kills all productivity.

    2) My friend, who started TTC in April and got pg within like 3 months, just sent a group text belly pic. I know that's what it is despite refusing to open the message. Can't look.

    3) In her defense, I haven't filled her in on our latest TTC/IF issues, so I can't really blame her. Guess I'll need to figure out how to have that conversation now.

    4) The 2-y/o birthday party we went to Sunday wasn't too bad.

    5) Our friends' other daughter who is 10 months and won't even go to sleep when her nana is holding her zonked out on me and so I just sat and held her for a while. It was bittersweet.

    6) I was sorely tempted by ooey iced cinnamon rolls in the cafeteria this morning, but got my usual oatmeal.

    7) Now I want to walk down to DD for a doughnut and mocha pumpkin latte.

    8) My coffee this morning tasted weird...like this florally, soapy aftertaste. I didn't even finish it.

    9) I wore the season's first pair of tights to work today.

    10) So thankful it's a short work week.

  • 1. I'm happy to be home from our trip, but I would like another week off to relax at home.
    2. My work peeps are awesome and I did not come back to nearly as much work as I expected.
    3. My parents are here until the end of December and I love it!
    4. I've had way too much caffeine today.
    5. I have a lot of work to do for my craft sale in two weeks.  Good thing my Mom's here with her sewing machine!
    6. We are hosting my parents, H's parents and his bro and SIL and 2 kids for Christmas. I'm pre-annoyed already because the SIL drives me nuts.
    7. Last year SIL hosted and served turkey and vegetables.  No potatoes! No gravy!  We'll be doing it properly this year.
    8. *Nerd alert* Parliament reconvenes tomorrow and I love watching the tradition and ceremony that surrounds our Speech from the Throne.
    9. I think my Mom and I will go to the US this weekend and buy some fabric.
    10. We're going to recover our patio furniture cushions with said fabric.

  • 1. My BFF and his wife and daughter are coming up from DC and coming to DS's football game Saturday

2.I started Weight Watchers again yesterday because who knows how long it will take to get KU, might as well work on my weight until then.

    3. I started WW yesterday and I had two glasses of wine after dinner and still was under my points!!

    4. Its cooling off here and I just dont have the motivation to switch my summer clothes/shoes out so I have been pulling them out of bins on the floor of my closet.

    5.  I cant remember what I did with my winter shoes so I have been wearing a pair of not so work appropriate shoes for hte last 2 weeks

    6. DH is making a ST plan to make sure we hit all possible days this month. This is extrememly unusual for him

    7. I had 5 people ask me at my cousins baby shower when will be having kids. I never realized how intrusive that truely feels until now when we have actually been trying. I finally told someone DH doesnt like kids so we arent having any. The look on her face was priceless.

    8. DH sent me cute a picture this morning of the dog all wrapped up in blankets because he thought she wanted to be swaddled. Sure swaddling was the first thing on her mind this morning. Swaddling of said 70 pound dog is amusing enough to warrent it though

    9. Its back to the gym full time for us tonight and Im pretty excited.

    10. I got nothin else.

  • 1. I actually have a lot of CM this cycle! Yay Femara!
    2. One of our neighbors tried to accuse Ozzie of tearing up stuff in her yard last night. I told her he's indoors unless we're both away, in which case he's crated. I think she thinks I was lying because she said, "Well, he has a twin." Whatever.
    3. I carry a bag around when I walk Ozzie to pick up after him, but if he craps in that woman's yard I might leave it.
    4. I'm wearing leggings today and I'm not sure what I think about them yet.
    5. I'm going on a paranormal investigation with some friends Thursday and we're ironing out the details tonight at a local Mexican restaurant.
    6. In about 20 minutes I'm meeting a friend to knit at our local yarn shop.
    7. I'm sad that this is the last week of fall break.
    8. The weather has been really nice and I love it.
    9. If we get pregnant this cycle, I'll find out on Halloween. If we don't, I'll likely start my 2nd period of the month then. :(
    10. I have a ridiculous amount of planning to do before we go back to school and I'm putting it off until Friday. Three days will be plenty of time to get it done.

@islandmonkey- I like to mash up bananas with some peanut butter and then freeze it. It makes an ice cream like dessert.
  • @islandmonkey8- I have only $10,000 lifetime max, too. I pay OOP for the injectables- around $360 for a vial of Follistim and Pregynl trigger. So far, with all us, bloodwork and visits, we have used just under $2,000 of the allowable amount for 3 iuis. The meds totaled $1500. The dr really wanted me on follistim and not gonal f, so we just went OOP for it. If this cycle doesn't work, it makes me feel better knowing we have $8000 to help if we move to IVF.

Thank you for this. I know if we get to injectables will come out of my medical not prescription plan, so I think that would count to the max $10,000. But I think, after talking to HR more, that the $10,000 max is wrong. In NJ there can't be a max dollar amount, but there can be a max amount of services (ex. only 4 egg retrievals a lifetime but as many IVF as necessary if the eggs retrieved allow). I'm hoping to get a more thorough answer soon. I also want to know what the maximum stop-loss is, I know the general plan is $3000/pp max a year, but with the infertility coverage it may be more. I just wish I could get a full explanation of this new plan.

Lots of luck this cycle for you!!!
