Does DH play video games?  Do you play them with him?

Re: QOTD 10/15

  • We play Wii together in the winter, mario cart or Donkey Kong.  it's fun.  I know he's been thinking about getting a "real" gaming system when we get a man cave together.  I'd probably play some if it looks interesting.

  • H watches youtube videos of other people playing video games?!!  he spends hours and hours watching these..soooo boring.  He used to play COD and sometimes I'd play Zombies with him, but I guess he beat that game (?) because he hasn't played it in forever.  He HAD to have a PS3 and he seriously never, ever uses it anymore.  So essentially we have a really nice DVD player, lol.

  • H plays COD every once in a while. It used to be a lot more, but I think he has been working too much. We like to play the lego games together (lego star wars and lego indiana jones).

  • He plays Halo and COD on the xbox.  He goes through spurts of playing several times a week to not playing for a month or two.  He has a good amount of guy friends that he's close to, so they all get on together and have their male bonding time.  I don't have any interest in playing those games with him, but I'll get down on some of the fighting games like Mortal Kombat.

  • He loves video games.  He plays a couple times a week, unless he gets a new game, then I won't see him again until he beats it.  We'll play Wii sports together, once in a while I'll play Mario Kart or a fighting game with him.  It's not very fun because he just kicks my butt!  I suck at video games big time!

  • Yep! He's always been a Zelda fan so he will play that every once in awhile. He gets into games that you not only play to beat every level but there are side quests. He really liked epic Mickey.

  • Yours too, Aro? LOL my husband is forever watching video game streams on YouTube or Twitch. I find them mildly entertaining, depending on the game.

H actually plays fewer video games than he used to, usually either MMOs or retro Nintendo games like Legend of Zelda. I don't play them at all. He's only convinced me to play a video game once, and I'm REALLY glad I agreed...since it turns out he had hacked the game and coded "will you marry me?" into it!

  • Not at all.  I don't think he'd ever touch the Wii if SD and I didn't get him to play with us every now and then.  I'll make him play Mario Kart with me every now and then.  LOL!

  • We don't have a game system, and every time we think of buying one he's like "no then I'll never talk to or see anyone ever again" lol.  Bit of a game addict!!

Honestly he works such ridiculous hours I have no idea when he would get the time : /

  • My H has an XBOX 360 and plays a few games.  He goes in spurts, he'll play for a few weekends, then he won't for a few.  He only plays on weekends.  He asks my permission, like he's a child.  I always laugh and tell him I don't care.

His birthday is 12/13 and I'm surprising him with a Playstation 4.  He said he wants one, but he wants to wait.  He works so hard and I know it relaxes him.  My H deserves it!! :)

I have a Wii that I rarely play.  H and I have maybe played together twice.  I don't play anything on his XBOX and he only has 1 controller anyway, so we couldn't play together.
  • We both love video games.  He is into anything and everything except PC games.  He just recently beat Grand Theft Auto 5 and has put crazy hours into Minecraft for xbox.  We are now playing the newest Pokemon game and have put about 40 hours into it.  We actually went to the midnight release of it this weekend.  :\">

  • H lives for video games. He is currently logging countless hours on Grand Theft Auto V. Although he does play online with his friend and my brother, so it's kind of like socializing? I'm not really into playing games, I played mario party and those kinds of games on the N64. I do like watching H play The Godfather and LA Noire, because they are interesting and have actual stories.

  • H plays ps3 after I go to bed. He mainly plays sports games. He actually does the whole pick out the uniform and specs for each player online for hours for ncaa football like the Sims.
H bought me a 3ds for xmas last year, since I like Mario games (i already have the regular ds and wasn't thrilled about the 3ds), and he actually has it in his truck since he basically bought it for himself (but it's pink). The xmas I thought he was going to propose he was actually going to buy me a Wii.

  • Thank God, he doesn't. We are both so turned off to video games after watching how they have ruined our nephews (the only imaginative play they have is about video games and they obsess over them). We have already agreed that if we ever allow any of that crap in our house it will be highly regulated.
  • Neither of us are crazy about them, but we both enjoy a select few. We have a PS3 and an Xbox 360. We were both extremely excited for GTA V that came out a few weeks ago. We'd had it on pre-order since January or February. With moving and both of us having big kid jobs now, we haven't played as much as we would like, but I'm on fall break next week, so I'll probably get in some play time. We also both really like the Mass Effect series, but haven't played it in over a year. We play when we feel the desire, but it's not an obsession by any means.
