I just wondered how your a/s went today. I know you were anxious about it and hope it went well!

  • Hi ladies,

Thanks for thinking about me. The scan went well, as far as we know. They did say that I am a measuring a week behind however....and after all my gender reveal stuff, now they are saying that baby is a BOY!.

We are still in shock a little about that since the first tech said she was 99% sure if was a girl. This tech says 99% boy.
Congrats to my TTC buddy Madeline! Cheering for all the strong 3T ladies!

  • So glad that everything went well, even if you were surprised by the change in sex. I can tell you, I have a dtr and a son and something about having a boy is just different in a moms heart. I mean you love them the same, but it's just different. The cuddles and snuggles are the best!

No, they didn't show us ANYTHING. Just said it was a boy.

I think we are planning on staying "team green" until the baby is born. Lol.

  • Glad the scan went well. Crazy about the surprise change in sex. At least you found out now instead of when it was born, right? And I'd definitely be getting one more opinion before buying pink or blue :)

Ugh, that's the thing. We don't get another u/s besides the elective place...which is most likely the place with the wrong "guess".

  • Glad it went well, but holy cow about the change. That is really strange, and it sucks that you don't know what to believe. Sorry lb

Waiting on my baby girl <3 EDD 2/5/14

  • I am debating calling the elective place and asking for a) my money back or b) a scan to confirm.

Their website says they won't "guess". If they can't tell, they'll have you back.  I am more annoyed about spending the $ for an elective that was wrong.

  • I'm glad the a/s went well. What surprisinging news though! I would ask the elective place to do a free scan given what happened. Have them give you a picture and our resident expert can hopefully confirm it.

Our little guy has been as low as 130's and as high as 170's

ETA: My doc always says "good strong heartbeat" and the number which has been within that range.
So, all over the place and he hasn't been concerned at all.

  • Our HBs have always started out high (180s or so) and then been around 130s to 140s for the majority of the time, but have gotten down to 120s toward the end.

LO's HB has been as high as 165 and as low as 120. The past two visits he's been between 140-150 though.

  • We had a huge range in heart rate until the last couple weeks where she stayed around 155-160 but our range was as low as 129 to as high as 196 :)

I would definitely go back to the elective place. They need to at least know they made a mistake and I would want another u/s for free to check out the goods again!
