Re: CPW: How often - hair

  • Whenever I think about it. There is no set time. If I notice it needs cut, and I have time, I go get it cut.
  • I voted every 3 months, but it depends on my hair length. I need to do it more often (ever 2-3 months) when I have a shorter style, like I do now. When my hair was longer (like around boob length), I easily went around 6 months between cuts.

  • I usuallly go around 4-5 months. I always have it cut around the Holidays and then I get it cut before summer and at the end of summer. I hate when my hair gets past by boobs and it can never be shorter than my shoulders.

  • Depends on the style. With my shorter hair, it was every 6 weeks - 2 months.  With longer hair I usually go 4-6 months.

  • I usually go every 6 weeks but I am growing it out for my wedding, so I haven't been since the end of June. I do still get my roots touched up though...

  • Not often enough.

It is such a PIA to take the time- it takes forever and I dislike small talk.  If I had less hair I think I wouldn't mind so much.  Maybe.

"I DO NOT love that you think so many things revolve around you.  I know you're bitter.  I get it.  But I'm over your feelings." The best person on the internet ever!
  • Until very recently, my hair was down to my waist. Then I got it cut to my tops of my shoulders and now Im growing it back out a bit. Not to my waist, but longer than it is now.

  • Im lazy. I easily go 6 months to a year. I only go when I want a change. Even when it's bad, I am lazy...I had my mom give me a blunt trim in the spring bc I didn't want to pay to have it cut! I will be going soon though bc I want a change.

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!

T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.

All of this, exactly. Also, sitting in front of a mirror for extended periods of time is not my idea of fun.

  • My hair is pretty short so I try and get it cut around every 6 weeks or else it starts to feel shaggy.

  • I get my hair cut about twice a year maybe, maybe just once.  My hair is long and thick and doesn't require much attention so I only get it cut when I notice it really breaking down when I brush it and then I go get a trim and sometimes a few layers put in.

I could have written both of these replies, lol. The main reason I grew my hair out was because I did not like going to the hair place every 6 weeks to maintain a short 'do. FTN.

I voted SS. For the last 8 years, I've been growing/cutting my hair for charity. I usually just trim off random split ends that I find and get an "official" haircut every 2-ish years.

  • My sister does my hair so I'm always at her mercy. I think I average somewhere between 4-6 months. I don't pay so I cant complain. We'll just go out instead. It's gotten super long so I think I'm letting it go thru the spring and then donating it.
