Re: Thankful Thursday

  • I am thankful to my ob today!  He tried to listen for the heartbeat on the Doppler, but couldn't hear it yet since I am only 10 weeks.  So he gave me an u/s and I got to see and hear the baby again!  And he didn't charge me! :-)

  • I'm thankful for DH standing up for me. His mom made some type of comment that I always look tired and that raising a baby might be too hard for me and that he'd have to take on the brunt of the work (umm, it's a little late for a comment like that...) He told her that I'm a strong woman and that he knows this is a group effort and we will do just fine.

He also is becoming less scared to connect with the baby. His official statement to his mom about the vaccine was that he grew up with very severe asthma and respiratory infections (he spent his first Christmas in the hospital) and if he can do something to protect his son from that, he'd do whatever it takes. He was choking up as he said this.

On a less serious note, I'm thankful for my bra today. My boobs are sooo swollen and heavy. My genie bra is holding this sh!t together. Lol

  • This week I am thankful...

For health insurance. I wasn't sure If I was going to have coverage come the first of this month and I am incredibly grateful for it.

For DH. He is taking tomorrow off to go to my doctor appt with me. Which is good because I am having anxiety about the drive there (an hour and a half to a big city I don't really know) and for the appointment.

For my daughter. She has been testing me these past couple days and I have to remind myself how precious she is and to just have patience. I am the mom and I am supposed to help us both get through this stage! It Is all a learning process.

  • I am thankful....

For my old dentist now taking our insurance. I called and made an appointment. The receptionist remembered me! (It helps when you call them crying because your insurance changed and you have to cancel your appointment)

For H's work changing his schedule. He will now have Saturdays and Thursdays off. He'll be able to go to the u/s next week and I should be able to plan for any kind of appointments to be Thursdays from now. Unless they change it again after Christmas.

For being able to finally see last friend that I want to tell face to face we're PR this Saturday.

For not having to do today after work so I should be able to take an hour nap!

  • Alright, this is a pretty emotional one. I'm so very thankful that Clomid worked for us.  H and I have had many discussions since the BFP, and he made it very clear to me that he never would've gone for IUI or IVF. It makes me very sad, because I was willing to do everything (and still am).

  • I am thankful for my marriage. He really is my perfect match. That's an awesome feeling.

I'm thankful that my baby has stayed put this long and is healthy and comfy in there. People are constantly offering me tricks to induce naturally and saying, "Aren't you over it!?" While I'm definitely starting to feel uncomfortable and welcome his arrival anytime, we weren't so sure we'd make it this far. He's good in there, leave us alone. Lol (with this, I'm thankful for the people that don't say "Spicy food, sex and walking! Trust me!" Oh. Is that the secret? Hadn't heard.)

  • I'm thankful that I have a great and flexible job. I have 3 appointments this month between DS and I and my boss has been very easy going about it.
