13-19 Oct Work out accountability

Re: 13-19 Oct Work out accountability
I've been walking a lot. I need to get back into strength training. The lack of protein my body was absorbing made me lose muscle mass like crazy. And I also used it as a reason to not weight train. What is the point if I'm not keeping protein to build muscles right?! I'm 1-2 lbs, depending on the day, from my goal weight, but it is all flub. Time to get toning!!
Diet wise, I've been really good about my sodium and calorie intake, but really bad about sugar. I'm not usually a sweet tooth but apparently if you have to give up salt, sugar is the next best thing!
Oh yea diet. I've started my green smoothies again for breakfast, but added a protein powder - GNC Lean 25. So far it's working pretty good. I wasn't hungry for my snack until 11 (I eat/drink breakfast 530-6am), so I only ate half my lunch at 12 the othe half instead of my snack.
I put 1 banana, 3/4 c 1% milk (might try almond milk soon), 1 scoop protein powder (vanilla) and fill the right with greens (spinach now, might get kale when I finish the spinach). I think I might start adding the strawberry I froze this summer to it next week.
I've also resisted all our office party food, cakes, brownies etc since we've been back to work. We've had 4 so far in 2 weeks. I only had grapes and strawberries today for boss' day resisting, apple fritters, muffins, bagels, quiche and donuts. I'm calling this a WIN!
1 cookie (Lofthouse) = 160 calories... that's 45 mins walking to burn off (from your MFP).
Glad I could help!
