hey girls. I am having a few friends over tomorrow night for a little spa girls night. I wanted to have some snacks/appetizers along with our bevs. What are some of your favorite easy things to make? I want a few different things, I am making spinach artichoke dip and a 9 layer bean dip... Any suggestions? OH and recipes.

I would have done this on another board, but this one is so alive! Love it!!! Hope everyone has a stellar Friday!!! xo

I have two new favorites:
Crab Dip English Muffins:
1 can of white crab meat
1 stick of butter
1 jar of Kraft Old English Cheese Spread
8 oz cream cheese
1 pkg of English Muffins
Mix together the crab, butter, and cheeses. Spread on english muffins. Cut in 8 pie wedge shapes with a pizza cutter. Broil until browned.
Devour. (I made these for a party. Got there, handed them to the hostess, said hi to three people, and by the time I got to the room she put them in, they were more than half gone.)

1/2 cup blue cheese or ranch salad dressing
1/2 cup FRANK'S® REDHOT® Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce or FRANK'S® REDHOT® Buffalo Wings Sauce
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese or shredded mozzarella cheese
2 cans (12.5 oz. each) SWANSON® White Premium Chunk Chicken Breast in Water, drained
DIRECTIONS:HEAT oven to 350°F. Place cream cheese into deep baking dish. Stir until smooth.
MIX in salad dressing, Frank's RedHot Sauce and cheese. Stir in chicken.
BAKE 20 min. or until mixture is heated through; stir. Garnish as desired. Serve with crackers or vegetables.
***I make mine slightly different - I cook real chicken breasts and shred them apart with a fork. I also add onions.
If I need to make something quick and easy, bacon wrapped dates are my favorite:
Preheat oven to 450, cut bacon strips in 1/2 or 1/3's (depending on the size of the bacon and dates), wrap bacon around dates, insert toothpick if necessary (I rarely do), bake for 10 minutes, DONE. if I'm feeling ambitious I'll also stuff them with goat cheese or cream cheese or an almond.
ETA: Sorry the formatting is so spaced out...I was lazy and used cut and paste.
Do you like figs and goat cheese? A very easy and simple appetizer:
Container of figs

Goat Cheese
Balsamic Vinegar
Pre-heat oven to 350. Cut figs in half lengthwise. Arrange on baking sheet. Put piece of goat cheese on each fig half and drizzle some balsamic vinegar on top. Bake in oven 6-7 minutes. Melts in your mouth
Oh yea, and this one is super easy and something we used to eat a lot when we lived in Spain - Pan Amb Tomaquet (bread with tomato):
http://spanishfood.about.com/od/tapas/ss/pancontomate.htm
All you do is toast slices of rustic bread, get a clove of garlic and cut in half and rub all over the bread slices, then get tomatoes and cut in half and rub those over the bread, then drizzle with olive oil. Yummy!

Mississippi Sin Dip. Don't ask questions, just do it. You will not regret it, I promise. Serve with ritz or some other cracker (and be sure to eat the bread with it too!) This stuff is TO die for. I make it a lot for parties and I've NEVER had anything left to bring home. It's usually gone within the first hour
Mississippi Sin Dip
1 loaf french bread
8oz container of french onion dip
4oz can green chilis, drained
1 package of bacon bits or bacon pieces (my prefererence is the pieces and i usually only use 1/2 the package)
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
8oz package of cream cheese, softened.
Cut the top off of the bread and scoop out the insides so you have a long breadbowl basically. Set the insides aside (i like to use them later to eat the dip with) Mix all the other ingredients together in a bowl. Put the mixture inside of the bread and put the top of the bread loaf back on. Wrap it up in foil and bake at 350 for 1 hour. Remove from oven, unwrap foil from the top and remove the bread top. Serve in the bread "bowl".

T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.
They have pre-made appetizers too that are relatively inexpensive and good....
Thanks. I think I am going to run over there in a bit. Just to see....
Easy. And good.
FET - transferred two embryos (boy and girl) - Nov 2014 - BFP!
In a baking dish (8x8 or 9x13, whatever really) spread an 8oz block of cream cheese down. Then open a can of Hormel's chili (no beans) and layer that on. Cover with grated cheddar cheese. Put in oven until cheese melts. Enjoy with Tostitos or the similar.
The only bad thing about this dip is when the cheese gets hard/cools down, it will most likely break your chips unless you cleverly maneuver your chips to break it away. YUMMY!

It was great! We had an awesome time. I ended up with spinach dip with pita chips, a plate of cheese and grapes, a little pasta casserole, oh and I also did the cream cheese with Hormel chile and tortilla chips Lol, I love cheese!!!!
I also had a TON of wine! I have been cutting out the alcohol, like to 2 drinks max each time, I went a little over board this weekend... Had way way too much cabernet!!!! But over all, fabulous time!!
