TT TTC- Just a ... thought I guess?
DH and I got married a year ago. We moved into our new house a few months back. We both want children soon, but are enjoying our alone time prior at the moment. We're talking about starting to TTC. I'm not sure when we will exactly because he's really enjoying his non-parent status at the moment, but I feel it's coming soon and I'm getting excited. I've figured out a lot of my work issues that I had in previous posts (just that I was unsure of work status and what would be a good time to try and worrying about finances). DH and I talked about a lot of things and got some things straightened out. I don't want to tell anyone in our close contacts when we decide to start trying. But, I think it's pretty nice to talk to someone about something so exciting- so Thanks Nest! I know everyone is different in how long it takes to conceive, so that makes me not want to wait too much longer. I'm concerned it may take us a while. I only came off BC 2 months ago, so I may not be able yet... but I've been tracking these past 2 months with FAM and the temperatures have been charting out the way they're supposed to. So... just sharing

Thanks!

Just so you know, plenty of people get pg the very first month off BC, so you're quite able to get pg 2 months off BC. Dont worry yourself unnecessarily!

I think for some people, it is normal to want to confide in SOMEONE about what you are doing though, so if anything, if you have a close girlfriend to go to, that's cool - I find that close friends sometimes are less likely to be as intrusive as family would be with certain personal matters.
As far as the BC concern, everyone adjusts differently once they go off it, so you could get PG right away or it might take longer if your body is still getting back to normal. I've been off BC for about 1.5-2 years at this point and we've been actively trying for 9 months now, and so far nada. Not sure if it is related to length of time I was taking BC (something like 15 years off and on) so we are testing H first to rule him out before moving onto testing for me.
Anyway, GL to you....everyone here is nice and very supportive and can offer helpful information to any questions you might have.

Awesome! Good luck. WE recently started TTC. I am not exactly taking my temp or anything, but I have been starting to pay attention to my cycles and ovulation and such. Going to kind of let it happen when it happens. If we don't after like 6 months or so, I will probably get a lot more.
Best wishes and let it be fun. Don't stress!!!
