Does anyone have recommendations for Salem, MA? My H and I are planning to go for a day trip this weekend. Our plan is to stay outside of Boston Friday and then drive into Salem on Saturday. Ideally, I would love to get a recommendation for a place to park and some neat things to check out while we are there. Restaurant suggestions would be great, too.

Last time we went (which was 10 years ago) we went on Halloween which was awesome. We went to Salem Beer Works for dinner and it was pretty good. We were celebrating DHs 21st birthday and BIL ordered a bunch of unique beer flavors and everyone really enjoyed them.

Beer Works had great pumpkin beer, but we didn't eat there at all. Come to think of it, other than House of Seven Gables and a Ghost Tour that we abandoned half way through because it was lame, we didn't do much else other than drinking, wandering and people watching. Oh! A psychic fair, too. I'm not really a fan of Salem at Halloween, because it's such a clusterfuck of crowds. Great people watching, though.
Sugar & Spice
i haven' t been there in years. my dad used to live in marblehead (next door) and we went to the witch museum once-it was fun!!
