Childbirth prep classes/books/dvd's

Apparently I should have gotten my act together about a childbirth prep class sooner. The one I'm considering taking is filled for the next few sessions, and I will be 34 weeks for the next class with openings. On average, twins are born at 36 weeks, so this seems like cutting it pretty close. I can't decide whether to sign us up for it.

For those of you who didn't take a class, do you have a book or dvd about childbirth that you'd recommend?

  • Babycenter has an online kind of class with little videos about a bunch of topics. That might be a good resource. :)

  • I took my class with DS when I was 34 wks. Think of it this way, if you do deliver at 36 wks you will have it fresh in your mind.

I did it more because I know technology has changed since DD was born and also because DH was a first time father and I thought it would be good for him. Of course he grumbled about going, but he enjoyed it once it was over.

    Lesson learned!!

  • Thanks all!
