Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Ornament Exchange Sign-up
I went ahead and set up an exchange through Elfster. Sign-up deadline is October 31st with a drawing date of November 1st. We'll all have a month to make and send off our ornaments to our elves! That way we can be sure they'll arrive in time to adorn some trees.
Please please please, if you sign up make sure you can commit to make and sending off an ornament. It's great fun being crafty and making something for another person, but it's disappointing when you do not get something in return.
Once the drawing happens, be sure to ask your elf some questions (anonymously of course) so you can get a really good idea about what to make special for them. Once ornaments start arriving, go ahead and share what you received and who you received it from on the Craft board. That's part of the fun!
If you know anyone that would be interested, please direct them to the site and here. Make sure to include your Nest name in your Elfster profile.
As long as we have more than 3 people, this should be a lot of fun!

I can make a post about it on the book board on Monday. I'm sure there are crafty people other than us there.
I have a hunch though that there will probably be an exchange of some sort for the holidays over there too, but we'll see.
I'm game for participating in both, so maybe others will be as well.
