Manic Monday

How was everyone's weekend and start of the week?

We had our 10 year High School reunion. It was enjoyable. DH says he had fun. But for our group there was a lot to be desired.

Sunday DH had a blast cleaning and organizing part of his parents garage and trimming trees. I went to brunch with my friend, who's engaged, and had the most amazing vegan pumpkin pancakes. Then went shopping with MIL.

Today the hospital I work at had only two babies born yesterday. A record according to the rest of the staff. I photo'd no one because no one was able to for medical reasons. Shortest work day ever. Made for a nice relaxing day at home.

Re: Manic Monday

  • Let's see - Friday night DH and I went down to a friend's farm about 45 minutes away.  His friend's family owns some property.  We had a fire and drank some.  I didn't plan on staying the whole night, but once we got down there, his friend's dad told us we should just stay the night and we could all go for breakfast in the morning.

Saturday - we went to brunch to the restaurant called "The Farm Bloomington".  It was okay.  We had been before for dinner, and I liked dinner there much better.  It's all food from local ingredients.  We ran some errands down in Bloomington while we were there - basically we were going to places to get ammo.  His buddy's dad has a target practice on the property, and the next couple of weekends a bunch of guys will be going down there and having fun shooting various guns.  Saturday night, we went over to my parents for a cookout.

Sunday - we slept in.  DH had to work 2pm-close.  Last night, I watched the Colts/Broncos game.  Good game - I was disappointed Peyton didn't have that great of game, but glad to see the Colts win.

Today was definitely an interesting day at work.  I was busy!  Plus, I had a former employee call up and start threatening his former supervisor to me.  That was interesting!

Hope everyone has a good week!

  • Hi. Our weekend was pretty eventful. We mostly just laid around the house. It was nice to not be running around and I got a decent amount of work done also. I'm super stressed lately with work. Is it Thanksgiving break yet?
  • Our weekend was pretty good. DH had to work late Friday, then we went out for hibachi after with some of his clients.

Saturday the puppy and I got Halloween decorations out while DH was at work, ran some errands after then just hung out around the house for the evening. Had some beers and played beer pong.

Sunday we FINALLY got our new tv mounted above the fireplace. This has been a neglected project for almost a month, but its done and looks fantastic! Then we went to Six Flags for one last time before they close for the season. :)

  • @athlete010688 - Did you get choked up when Peyton took the field, and then started waving to the crowd.  I did.  And I'm not even a colts fan (I don't dislike them, just love the packers)!  Haha.

We went to Nashville!  Friday we spent the day doing touristy things.  Saw the country music hall of fame and walked around a lot.  Saturday we were up early to go with my aunt and uncle to the Vanderbilt / Georgia game.  They definitely have their routine down with seeing my cousin.  We jumped from one spot to another just to get a glimpse of him during all their morning rituals.  The bad part was that it rained pretty much the whole first half.  We had to wear ponchos.  But it was an amazing game - they beat a ranked team!!  Since it was such an early game my cousin was able to join us for dinner, and we got to meet his girlfriend.

It was a pretty busy weekend, but fun.  I'm still tired though.  Plus it was 32 degrees this morning here.  I was not excited about getting up and out of the house.

  • My parents got in town Friday night so they came over for awhile.

Saturday I spent the first half of the day with the kiddo then went shopping for our trip. Sunday was pretty much the same.

Monday I was super busy at work getting things ready for the rest of the week and right now we are on our way to New Orleans!!

@ky29 - Yes!  It was crazy.  You could tell he was getting emotional when he had his helmet off in the beginning.

And I was not ready for the 32 degree weather this morning either!!
