I am wondering if it took you longer to see changes in your body/belly area when you were in early pregnancy. I am plus sized and I keep looking for some signs of bloating or any changes in the belly area and I'm not really noticing any.

I know it's still very early for me (between 4-5 weeks) but I am anxious to see some evidence that there really is something happening! I have the urge this afternoon to just POAS every day to put myself at ease that I am in fact pregnant. I would be broke if I did that though! I have my confirmation appointment tomorrow so I know that should put me at ease a little bit. Thanks for the insight though!

I'm plus size, and carried twins... It wasn't till about 20 weeks that I looked good and pregnant.
I quit 'holding it in' right away, but that wasn't a pregnant belly, just letting go of my flub.

(Lurker coming out of hiding) but I had similar concerns when I was pregnant. I am plus-size and didn't show until about 20 weeks and wasn't 'noticeably' pregnant until about 25 weeks. I POAS about once a week (buy the HCG tests on Amazon - you get about 25 for $15) and that usually helped ease my worries

I am PS and with my second guy it took me until about 16 weeks to show but you show earlier with your second. With my first I wasn't plus sized and didn't show until I was 20 weeks or so.

I don't think most people can see any difference at 4-5 weeks. With that said I'm plus size and didn't look pregnant until after 20 weeks.

I was at least 24 weeks before I could really notice, it was closer to 25-26 until others could notice.

My middle school clients haven't noticed yet...

Well, that's a relief to hear. I keep expecting to notice bloating or something like that but I don't see any difference. I know it's still really early though but I thought that maybe since I'm already PS it might take longer for me to actually notice a change in myself. Thanks, ladies!

Not everyone bloats. Be thankful if you don't!! HAHA!

But baby is still way beyond your pelvic bone now. Reaches the belly button around 20 weeks which is why I think so many women start to show then

I didn't have to wear maternity pants until I was close to 20 weeks along (and when people started noticing i was pregnant vs eating too many butterfingers) but horrible nausea my first trimester I lost quite a bit of weight so I think that helped delay the need for bigger pants.

I am a smaller plus size (I wear a 14-16 or a 14w depending on the cut), and I am the opposite. I started having a mini-bump that I noticed, depending on shirt cut, at 11w. By 13w it was so clear I had to tell work, and by 15-16w, people who didn't know me pre-pregnancy could tell. I am 17 weeks now and I'll post in tomorrow's HDBD - but I am carrying high.

I really started showing like a month/month and a half ago. It felt like forever! Hang in there...it'll come!

Mostly, I look like a fatty, people cant really tell if I've just gained a few or if I'm PG. My sister says I look PG, sometimes I do...its hard. I really didn't have a "you are pregnant" bump until 15w last time, and that was with twins.

Thanks, ladies. I think I'm just being overanxious about all this. We've wanted to be pregnant for over a year and now that it's finally happening it just seems too good to be true. I have my confirmation appointment today so hopefully that will put me a little more at ease and I'll actually have a date for my next appointment (I'm guessing it will be a dating ultrasound since I have irregular cycles).
