Talk to me about stress relief.
How do you relieve stress? Do you have any magical tricks or strategies? And, if you don't mind me asking, how often do you actually feel stressed?
This girl could use some help :-(
Re: Talk to me about stress relief.
I also take baths when I can. Bath & Body Works has this great line of aromatherapy stuff. So far I have only been using the sleep products, but they work really, really well.

If it's something majorly stressing me though, I usually vent to my mom while drinking wine and crying. She tends to put everything in perspective for me and we figure out a game plan to make the situation less stressful.
Sorry you're going through whatever is stressing you, I hate feeling like that. Hopefully it resolves soon.
I go through periods of a lot of work stress and working out ia my #1 stress release. I'm able to talk walks at lunch too, so it's good to get out and clear my head when people want me to do 10000000000 things at once. Do you have a few minutes during the day to close your eyes and just breathe? I do that at my desk too... like take 1 minute to just breathe.
Like others said hot baths, with good music or audio book, and wine, lots and lots of wine. Although the last stressful peroid I got a 12 pack of strawberitas.
I exercise. or I just lose my mind in a book.
I hate that your work currently sucks

Yeah, it's work-related. I'm sort of at my wits' end. Stress is one of my IBS triggers and I'm pretty much in constant pain or discomfort, which is so not cool. I keeping thinking to myself, 'Get over it and put on your big girl pants already!' But then I think...'Is that even possible? Is this manageable?'
@mana8503 - To answer your question, no I do not. All of my "breaks" are spent in meetings, assessing students, prepping for lessons, or communicating with parents.
If you're ready for a break from the classroom I know Innovative Schools is hiring. They do charter applications, PD, and curriculum writing.
I don't have much stress relief advice.
exactly. and even worse she loved her job last year! and then they moved her to 2nd grade, gave her all sorts of unrealistic responsibility and too many kids with serious needs. it just makes me sad for her. and for the kids because they could have a really awesome teacher!

The other thing is do is find things to make me laugh. Have you seen the "fmylife" website. I hope alot of it is made up, but it still makes me laugh.
