I grew up watching all the CBS soaps with...my DAD! haha, we used to watch The Young and the Restless, The Bold and The Beautiful, As the World Turns, and Guiding Light everyday when I was home with him before I went to school. So, I've been life long fans of them. I was so sad to see ATWT and GL go off the air. My mom loved CBS soaps too. She named my sister Ashley after Ashley Abbott on Y&R, I kid you not.
I watched Days (and Passions, haha dear lord, who remembers that show??) for a few years when I was younger too.
I started watching All My Children, One Life to Live, and General Hospital (and Port Charles, which was my FAVORITE! and I still miss it sometime, haha) when I was 12. I watched them for a few years but got away from them towards the end of high school because I got so busy. When I heard AMC and OLTL were cancelled I started watching them both again and saw every episode before they went off the air. Once they went off the air, I picked up GH because I needed my daily dose of drama since I had been sucked back in. I haven't missed an episode of GH since February of 2012! Hubby even watched with me for over a year.
I tried to get back into AMC and OLTL when they were re-launched online, but they just weren't the same and I couldn't get back into them. And I REALLY didn't have the time to keep up with three shows, so now I'm just focusing on GH. And it's been SO good lately!
So, yeah. :P
