  I thought it was SO SCARY when I was younger, but re-read the book and re-watched the movie as an adult and was much less scared. 

  
  

  Creepy kids always scare me a bit though, so the scene from your siggy is one of the scariest, IMO.

  I had seen the movie growing up and wasn't exceptionally scared. I read the book in college, and I had to take breaks because I was so freaked out.

  I think that the movie is, at parts, scarier than the book. 

  
  

  There were a few things that they kept coming back to over and over in the book (the hose as a snake, the hedges) that I didn't think were scary at all. 

  
  

  The twins in the movie, however? Terrifying. I'm so glad that you have scary-Danny instead of scary-Twins. :shudder:
