If you liked Eleanor and Park...
Pick up Reality Boy by A.S. King. I just finished it tonight and I'm full of the feels and not in a sentimental, crying way. I've been thinking about being a teenager, having to cope with that as well as the effects of FB, reality TV, etc. and how it's so different now.
It follows the story of Gerald (17) who was on a show like Super Nanny as a child. It deals with the effects of that and the coping of other life events as well in a way that feels gritty but real. His journey is something that kept me up at night reading and thinking about during the day plus of course there's a bit of romance in it too. I don't want to give any spoilers but it reminded me of Eleanor & Park which I liked but didn't love - I loved this one though.
