AW: Finally got a bra!

I finally went to Motherhood and got fitted for a nursing bra. I was wearing a 34C prior to getting pregnant and am now a 38E! Yikes!

So for $25 I bought a super comfortable non-underwire bra (why did I ever wear underwires before?) in a cute navy blue and teal polka dot pattern. I feel like a real person again! I hated walking around without a bra. Lol

Re: AW: Finally got a bra!

  • I wear underwire too because I think it gives me better support (I'm a 38DD) Do you feel the new one gives you enough without the wire?

  • Yeah it's still structured, just no wire. Definitely enough support and so much more comfortable. I wish I would've got one sooner because the underwire dug into my belly while pregnant.

  • Thanks! I will have to go check those out soon.

  • I went and bought some last week - the wires had already started to dig in and I had outgrown my normal size anyways.  I like the ones I have but I only found one style to be comfortable enough.

RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.

  • a good nursing bra makes a huge difference!

@TudorRose11, just an fyi, it is recommended that if you BF, you should stay away from underwire for a while, because it can contribute to clogged ducts and whatnot. I didn't wear a bra with underwire until my daughter turned 1 and stopped bfing, but waiting that long isn't necessary.

  • I bought an old lady playtex 18 hour bra a few weeks ago, it's amazing. I feel like a little old lady though! I'm currently a 34 DD, I'm not looking forward to what is going happen to the girls.

I bought one bra from Motherhood and it fell apart... :-( I'm guessing that's not a normal occurence?

  • Thanks @whippet8! I had not heard that. I have one nursing bra that has an underwire and one without that I thought I would just wear around the house but now I will look into getting more of those.
