So mad with teaching job
I am so mad right now. I teach writing (to two different classes) and social studies in the current position I have. My co-teacher (the one who is a complete control freak) teaches all the other subjects. She NEVER shares with me the lesson plans or discusses with me the plans ahead of time. Most of the time I just ask her 5 minutes before the subject is about to start and she'll tell me what I'm teaching. I hate teaching on the fly, but I have no choice. I'm treated like a sub since I'm only in this position until Dec. 1.
Well today I taught writing to my first class and I thought the students were writing a 5 paragraph essay so I had them start their graphic organizer based on a 5 paragraph essay. My co-teacher was out of the room when I taught it. It took me 35 minutes to teach it. Well, later in the day I began the lesson for my second writing class and my co-teacher and another teacher were in the room and they said I was teaching it wrong, that it is a 4 paragraph essay not 5. I am very mad because they did not share this information with me before I began teaching it today. Ugh! Now, I have to re-teach it to my 1st class, also they made me feel like a fool in front of my second class! I'm mad.
