Finally read more Allegiant (sp through pg 200-ish)

I'm no scientist, but this whole gene thing for the reason for the factions seems D-U-M

I don't buy any of this for a second.

  • Also, there is no change in voice between Tris and Four's chapters. I have to keep checking which one I'm in.

  • The gene/science stuff was some of my favorite parts. I'm sad you aren't enjoying it. But, I agree about the dual POV.

  • I hated the science part.  GD, GP, yada, yada, yada.

And the dual POV was bad, completely agree.

  • I sorta put it down last night when the head guy is talking about Tris's mom and says something like "it never occurred to us to have someone in there working for us." REALLY? That NEVER occurred to you? After all these cities are killing each other off and not doing the things you wanted them to do, it NEVER OCCURRED TO YOU to have someone in there keeping them from MURDERING OFF THE DIVERGENT PEOPLE YOU ARE TRYING TO DEVELOP?

    No.

The POV thing really annoyed me.  I never knew who was walking until I would think, wait? Why is Tris talking about herself in 3rd person?

The gene thing bored me to.  I mean, it might have it's place, but OMG it's boring to the length it's going to.

  • Yup. I felt exactly that way. Like, really? That's the big deal?

I kept having to check who was talking, too. I would get confused when Tris would say something that only Four would know and when I'd check back, Four had been talking all along.
