  well, I would say he could watch the baby while she went to the gym but who knows what he'd think was okay while watching a 1 month old.

  I'm baffled that this is even a question to her. This is absurd. Her husband sounds demeaning and I dont think I would leave my child with him if I were her. This is a situation where I might rethink my husband, when my looking good means more than the safety of our 1 month old... My DH would never act this way. If I wanted to go to they gym he would keep her while I went. If I didn't want to go, then oh well.

  this is so crazy. if my husband suggested something like this (he wouldn't) I would be so embarrased/angry by his suggestion. I would never tell all of the interwebs how stupid he is.
