How is everyone doing?
I have totally been slacking since my race. Work has been hectic, so I haven't been able to take time out to go to the gym and work out...we've also had a lot going on in the evenings last week and this week, so I haven't been able to squeeze in any workouts then either. I'm sure I could have worked something in, but I really just needed a break. Now I'm ready to get my motivation back! I'm going to do zumba or pilates on Friday, do a run this weekend, and get back into my routine next week.
Also, I plan on doing the Wounded Warrior run on 11/16 at North Park (not sure if I'm doing the 5k or 5 mile) and the Jingle Bell Run on 12/7, if anyone is looking for races/walks to do!
Re: Fitness Post!
um, let's see here. I walked what felt like 10 miles every day at disney for 5 days in a row. That counts as my workout for the week, right? (I'm sure it was offset with the cupcakes I consumed, but whatever)
But seriously, I have been a slacker with fitness, I need to get back to making it a priority. Between being out of town for a few days, then coming home from that and trying to pack for Disney, it just wasn't happening. The dark evenings were throwing me off too, but that's just how it will be for months so I need to readjust and figure something out.

I have seriously been slacking. I worked through lunch on Monday so I could leave an hour early and hit the gym. I got to the intersection at the gym and proceeded home instead to sit on the couch and watch an hour of DVR shows by myself (which was heaven!)
The gym bag is sitll in my car's backseat, mocking me.
I've been thinking of doing the Groupon for the Pure Barre Wexford classes as I've heard good thinkings about it.
Anyways I only ran once last week. I feel like my running is awful in this weather. I know some prefer running when it's cooler but I despise it. I'm cold so I wear enough clothes not to freeze. Then I get warm but only core and the rest of me is cold. Ugh!
A few days of Zumba last week.
This week isn't much better. I should have run last night but I just couldn't do it. I am thinking I might try Friday before work since the temps are going up. I can't go after work or Thursday when it will be warm too.
15 minutes in I almost passed out. I'm talking nauseous, black spots in front of my eyes... I was the goonie who had to sit out a lot of it. I don't know if it was a combo of being so early and not eating or the type of work out, but wow. I made it through the second half, but once my groupon is done so am I!
Beth, id try the free class first.
Crap - figures that I just now read this and bought the Groupon about 90 mins ago! I had no idea the first class was free. Well, if I hate it maybe I won't use hte Groupon and will just use that $ towards something ele....
I had heard it was hard, and if you were sitting out Sarah, then I'll be in the same boat for sure! I planned on going to the noon classes on my lunch hour M W & F...
My sleep has taken a hit lately; therefore, so have my early morning runs. I think winter will be a mix of maybe one or two lunchtime runs per week, one weekend run, and one swimming workout. Plus dumbbells and squats at home as I feel like it. I'd like to think I have enough of a base going to be able to do some good races in the spring without committing to a time-sucking training schedule.
This weekend - the Pittsburgh 10 miler race! Anyone else?
