What is considered normal during pregnancy?

Mine was 140/80 and no one seemed concerned... I had also been sitting waiting for an hour past my appointment time, so I was slightly annoyed and irritated. They also took it through a light weight sweater.

That number seems high to me.

I get very anxious for dr's appt. and mine was 138/92 yesterday. that isn't normal for me. If i'm at home and take it ts more like 112/72.

they also didn't seem concerned.

what is yours normally?

I didn't think the ranges should really be any different pregnant vs non pregnant, but I have no basis for that. Mine was always between 100-120 over 68-80. My SIL's doc decided to induce her a few days early because her BP was in the 150s for a couple weeks in a row.

But like pp said, if your doc wasn't concerned I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe a sudden spike towards the end that stayed high or a pattern of high readings for several weeks would be more of a cause of concern?

Your blood pressure does raise a little while pregnant because you have more blood. Mine is generally really low like @teacherlady79 so when it was up to like 130/80 I was freaking out but the doctor toldme for preeclampsia they look for more than just a blood pressure raise...I would jhave to have protein in my urine and swelling. And she said pregnancy induced hypertension (high blood pressure) is over a certain number for everyone.

They didn't say anything to me about my BP until it was 150/100 and they put me on bedrest at 35 weeks.

My bp started to get high (higher than what you had) in my 3rd tri. My doc didn't seem concerned as long as I felt fine, had no swelling and no protein in urine. I did have to take my bp daily at home my last week of pregnancy, but overall it was fine. It ended up not turning into anything at all, and went right back to normal post pregnancy.

I'm not sure. I can't remember what it was when I was admitted with DS. I remember them freaking out though. I was too, hence the high BP, haha.

Anything over 140/90 usually got me sent to triage for extended monitoring. They generally seemed more concerned about the bottom number than the top. I was on bed rest pretty much my entire 3rd tri. I'm still not 100% sure if I was ever officially diagnosed with pre e (I had some protein on several occasions and failed the 24 hour) but my blood pressure didn't go insane until 39 weeks and I was induced immediately. So any way, in my experience they will let you know if you need to be worried about it. But if you are worried anyway, bring it up with your doc.
