Home Depot

Looks like Lowes isn't the only company to try to blame someone else....we ordered our deep freezer last Saturday and scheduled delivery for today. We would have just taken it on Sat, but with my lifting restrictions I couldn't help J get it out of our truck. I realized this am that the delivery company never called yesterday to give me my four hour delivery window. They called at 830 this morning telling me the freezer can't come today because they just got the paperwork and the trucks have already left for the day. I asked if the truck could go back out once it returned and she said no because I'm an hour and a half away from their warehouse. She said it could come tomorrow. That would be fine if J wasn't leaving for the weekend. He wanted to check the product and make sure it was working right etc before he left....I'd hate to lose all the BM I've frozen. I called HD to see if we could just pick one up in the store today...guy says yes but we'll likely have to pay for it again because our payment already was transferred to delivery company. Um,not my fault. I said I don't know if this your fault or the delivery company's fault....he cuts me off saying its not our fault. Ok, fine, but YOU sold me the merchandise and guaranteed me a delivery date, so YOU need to fix it. After several phone calls it was resolved and J picked it up without repaying for it....but seriously I love how everyone wants to blame someone else and not focus on helping the customer or fixing the problem!

  • I'm so glad you were able to get that resolved! I hate it when you are just pushed in circles when trying to get something done!

This drives me so incredibly insane!  It's EVERYWHERE!  No one takes responsibility for anything.  Even (yes, I'm going to put a teacher spin on this) parents don't make their children take responsibility for anything.  Example - "Oh, you say my child hit another kid?  Well, that's because the other kid said something mean.  My kid didn't start this."  So these kids are going to grow up and continue the vicious cycle!  AHHHHHH!!!
  • Wow, sorry.  I totally just highjacked your post with a rant.
  • I'm glad it worked out... But how frustrating?!

  • I'm glad you got the freezer and didn't have to get rid of the milk. People call it liquid gold for a reason. ;)
