QOTD 11/1

I saw this on another board and am borrowing it for today's question.

What stays on your kitchen counter all the time?

Re: QOTD 11/1

  • Everything!! Our apartment has like no pantry space.

If I had a real kitchen though, I'd always have my bowl of kosher salt, sugar bowl for coffee, and my Keurig, on top of my marble cutting board.

  • Too much, maybe I'll spend some time this weekend putting things away! We have our microwave, toaster, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, food processor, dish drying rack and paper towel dispenser. Even with all of this stuff, I really want to get some airtight canisters to put like coffee, sugar, flour, etc. on the counters.

  • Um.... starting from left to right haha

toaster oven, house phone, olive oil, pam, paper towels, knife set, spice rack, basket of more spices, basket for breads, radio, dish rack, keurig, containers for marshmellows (hot choco MUST), powder creamer, sugar.

And there's always mail on the island, and a basket of randomness (dog bags, chocolate, sunglasses....)

  • Coffee pot.  We nave NO counter space.  we don't have double sinks either, so we have to stack clean dishes next to the sink if we don't have time to dry them and put them away right away.

  • One of my favorite things about my house is my kitchen.  I have a ton of counter space.  There is always my keurig, my k-cup tree, a pizza oven, toaster, butcher block, bills basket and a basket for keys on the counter tops.  I also have a bad habit of getting home and throwing a bunch of crap on the counter and leaving it there for days.  It drives DH nuts.

Fruit bowl, napkin holder, Spice rack, soda stream, snack canisters (one with fig newtons, one with honey wheat pretzels), dish drainer, bottle drying rack, can opener, knives, toaster oven, coffee maker, Keurig....too much! We do have a lot of counter space and an island that's bare. We use the coffee maker during the week and the Keurig on the weekends, it's just easier to fill up our to go cups with the carafe as opposed to running the Keurig 8x..... I can't wait to have our china cabinet built so I can move some stuff around....

  • We have 2 utensil crocks, knife block, dish drying mat, paper towel holder, coffee maker, toaster and breville tea maker.

Oh and let's not forget the dirty dishes. We always manage to have something that's not clean and therefor on the counter. Lol.

  • A ton. Left to right: cutting boards sideways, coffeemaker, knife block, olive oil bottle, container of utensils, recipe holder, fruit basket, kitchen aid mixer (which is the big thing H pitches a fit about on the counter! No way, I'm displaying that!)

    image
  • Too much! Bread basket (Usually with assorted tupperware that H hasn't put away strewn all over it), toaster, coffee pot, utentil holder, paper towel rack and dish drying rack.

  • Our counters are crowded.  We have little cabinet space. There's a spoon rest, trivet, olive oil, utensil bucket, knife block, the dish drying rack, the toaster stacked on top of the microwave, the crock pot (which H didn't put away after he used it a few weeks ago), the banana tree, bread, Keurig on top of K-cup drawer, and the Kitchen aid.
  • Toaster oven, salt&pepper shakers (on the stove, above the dials), microwave, knife block, utensil caddy...then the random assortment of mail or whatever!

  • Basing off of memory without having to get up from the couch... dish strainer, cloth for on the counter for drying cups and pots. Usually at least one of us winds up throwing a set of keys and a wallet there. Bottle of bleach water and a bottle of dish soap.
