So. Today I went to my in-laws to visit T's aunt who came down state from up north. Everyone was there, including his two sisters and his brother. Well my one SIL is the one that I'm suppose to be watching my nephew for. She keeps changing the time I start to earlier and earlier and the hours are getting longer and longer. She wants me to watch him four to five days a week plus I'm working two days a week at my current gas station job. It's way too much with full time school.

I'm going to have to tell her I can't do it. And she's going to throw a huge fit. Augh. Am I really so wrong? I am suppose to start Monday but T has an important doctor's appointment (long story). So stuck right now.

I am sorry. I hope she gets over it fast. The goal was for you to focus on school. That is your priority, not her child.

An occasional extra day or an hour here or there would be one thing, but this is totally changing the original arrangement.

That is exactly what I was thinking. And I understand that her schedule changed from what she thought it was and it may not even be permanent. But I can't afford to get behind at this point in the semester. I appreciate your responses.

I hope you can work things out with her but I understand completely if it doesn't work out. It's very easy to get behind at this point. I swear professors wait until mid-semester then freak that they don't have much time left so they assign all sorts of homework and projects. And it feels like you have a test every other week. Ugh!

Thanks everyone. I talked to her last night. She seemed understanding and said she was proud of me for letting her know at least. She said she understood that I had to do what was best for me. So, I think she's ok.
