Christmas

Ok, I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but Joy and I have started trying to decide what we're getting each other and my parents for Christmas so I figured I'd bring it up and see if anybody else has started thinking about their Christmas gift buying.

Trying to decide between one of these for Joy:

She was looking at something like these in the store yesterday so she could grill without having to use the grill.

Re: Christmas

  • Thinking about it? I already have two gifts bought and wrapped. Have to plan ahead with Nutcracker. I have come up with a few more ideas, but I am trying to stay ahead, because once December hits, I won't have time to breathe until Christmas.

I would love to use the double burner griddle, but they work best on a gas stove. And since you are moving, it might not be the best of ideas to get that one.

I actually have a Cuisinart Griddler, which can be a panini press and an open grill or griddle. It works really well to grill on indoors. Maybe that would be an idea too.

I keep promising myself that I'm going to get a jump on Christmas.  Every year we end up doing the mad dash in December. :(  Found out yesterday that Joy wanted to get one of these grill things, so been looking at it today.

I thought about one of the appliances, but we seem to be collecting appliances and all they're doing is taking up space. :(

  • We are not doing gifts this year. We rented a huge log cabin in the mountains for 3 days. 12 of my family members are going.

I will buy my daughter a kindle fire and son is happy with trucks, trains, cars, etc.
  • No gifts this year between Jared and me either for Christmas, Anniversary, or Birthdays. Just disneyland :)  Still trying to decide for family what we're doing. Usually just little things for parents and sister/BIL.

  • And Mark, that sounds like a good idea. And more Kitchenaid attachments ;)

I think she's good on KitchenAid attachments.  The pack I got her has all the ones she was interested in.

  • I get it with the appliances. I would probably get the two pack then...

  • Hmm, I really like the double burner grill.  But I agree that it would be better with a gas stove.  And this post just reminded me that I forgot to pack the drawer at the bottom of my stove.  Must make a reminder to go do that tomorrow.  Ugh!

I've already bought 5 or 6 things for Lily for Christmas.  They have been small things.  I know she won't care about the gifts, she just wants to tear paper.  LOL.  Not sure if Paul and I are doing gifts with the move and all.  We might do something small for each other.  I guess we need to talk about it.
