amcourt

How did house hunting go yesterday? Are you moving the the castle?

Re: amcourt

  • LOL Nah I'm staying out of the Castle ;)

Luckily, the Port Penn house was AWFUL so S is over his love affair with it. It was really bad. I really liked the one in Odessa. We might schedule a second showing. S thought it was okay but a little small. He's crazy. He thinks we're going to find (and be able to afford) a castle. I don't know much but I know two things: 1. There's no way in hell we're going to be able to afford what he wants and 2. There's no way in hell that I'm going to clean a house like the one he wants. ;)

Yes! And you have to pay to heat and cool it!

I feel ya! Chris is looking at these big ass houses like we are having a dozen kids to fill it or some shit. Im like, dude, just cause we can afford it, Im not cleaning that. Thankfully the county line drops the house size as well if we go to Townsend or Middletown. We stay in Smyrna and we are going to have a house that we will never grow into.
  • @queensteph17 - Right!! Dude doesn't have any idea how much we pay for anything right now because I had all of the bills. He's not thinking about all that "extra" stuff.

@Mrs.Skiz - S wants a huge, old house that is at the top of our price range. I want a comfortable, newer house that is in the middle of our price range. I think this may end up in us living with my in-laws until we're 85 LOL

  • I told Greg that even if we hit the lotto, I would never want some giant house unless we had a live in maid.

  • Oy. Those old houses are so hard to heat/cool unless they've been redone. When M & I moved back to Delaware, we lived in a house with no insulation. Our oil bill in the winter was outrageous.

    You won't live with your inlaws until you're 85. Maaaaybe 84.5. ;)
