What CD system did you say you used? I forget now. And did you start at the newborn phase?

hi! how are you feeling? your picture was so small-i can barely see you in the HDBD post! but i'm still glad to see you here!!

we're doing well. J just took up walking the other day. crazy!

we're a prefold family. we use fitteds at night (though for a long time we used a flip nighttime something something folded in thirds). we have a few pockets and aio's, but they're the minority. since we cd to keep costs low, prefolds have been the cheapest for us (and a lot of those i've bought second hand from craigslist).

we started when he was 5 weeks old. i got tired of him peeing within minutes of being changed. that yellow/blue line on the diapers are a blessing and a curse! sometimes ignorance is bliss.

I just wanted to chime in... we do CD too. LO didn't start using them until she was 10 pounds though...mostly for my sanity. We use bum genius 4.0 and some fuzzibuns and love them!

I'm feeling really good... just still happy and thankful everyday that I'm actually pregnant. Thank goodness for Science!

Prefolds are intimidating to me. So far I have a few hybrids, pockets and AIOs all in newborn size.

We also CD! The majority of my stash is BG 4.0 pockets. I also like Grovia. At night we se sbish snapless fitteds which are awesome.

We started at newborn phase with mostly fitteds (KL0s and GMD) and some BG all in ones (not very absorbent).

We did prefolds in the beginning and used the snappi. It really wasn't that bad. I had taken DH to the store to show him the pockets (which ironically we didn't use any pockets until recently) and he liked the prefolds. I made him show me he could do it (because I was worried about doing it myself and I didn't want the these are too confusing excuse from him) and he was better than me at first! We did those until R fit in the flips (which DH also said he liked better than the pockets) and loved them. We love our CDs!

funny you're posting about this because I have a friend getting rid of her BG Freetimes and I've been researching CD's all morning! I really want to CD and was thinking it would be good to start my stash now and spread out the spending of money:)

i love the freetimes!

i hate pockets. i hate stuffing. hate hate hate. we have a few and use them sparingly. usually when someone else is watching him. my parents are snappi masters but the IL's are still intimated by the PF's and start looking freaked out when they learn we don't have sposies to put him in while they watch him.

i'm not sure how much he weighed when we started cd'ing him, but he was in NB prefolds. they were super easy. we had aio's (swaddlebee) for at night until he outgrew them and started out-peeing them.

We CD too. So far we've found that we like pockets and I didn't mind prefolds but don't currently have any in her size. I'm not a fan of the AIOs I've tried since A seems to need something that wicks away better than that.
