Kresley Cole's Arcana series (ns)
j*&p* that suggested these. I read both Poison Princess and Endless Knight this week. I couldn't put them down.
The main character is a little naive, but her bad-ass-ness comes out. I love the characters and where the story goes. I cannot wait for the next book.
