bra issue

So I am finding myself needing larger bras. My boobs have like exploded. I am normally a 34D but I'm busting out and getting those indentations where the elastic is too tight on my body. Not to mention the stretch marks that I have no where else... I need some recommendations of good bras to get. Should I go ahead and buy nursing bras/maternity bras? Or just upsized regular bras? Will my boobs go back down to my D after I'm done breast feeding or stay whatever size they are now? I am bust out cup and band wise so I dont think I need to just up the band. Also I am on a limited budget and need some good bras that wont bust the bank.. Thanks in advance for suggestions because it is getting rather uncomfortable!

Re: bra issue

  • I bought a couple of Lamaze nursing/sleep bras to get me through 3rd tri.  Super comfy and fairly inexpensive.  Then, once my milk came in and my boobs adjusted, I went out and bought some better nursing bras.  Target also has some inexpensive nursing bras if you want to go that route.  You'll *probably* be about this size when your milk comes in, but if you go up another size, at least you didn't spend a ton of money.

  • I would wait on buying anything expensive or long term right now.  I went up in size quite a bit more once my milk came in.  I started at a 36 D or DD and went to a 36 G or H.  And yes, once I was done BFing DD my boobs went down in size to what they were before.  I think that's typically true but not always.  And now that I'm BFing DS, they went back up.

I also recommend just buying some inexpensive bras at Target for the time being.  I didn't find the sleep bras to be supportive enough to go out of the house in.

  • I would get some nursing bras, maybe one regular bra to wear if you really need it (I didn't have as much lift with nursing bras).

I am now back to my pre pregnancy bras just fine. I also still wear my nursing bras sometimes because they are so comfy.
