Ok, so @sfgiantsjo's Wacky Wednesday poll got me thinking about all things 80s last night. I found this on buzzfeed and thought I would share. The only thing missing is my Esprit bag and United Colors of Bennetton clothes.

Also... The Hub channel was playing The Neverending Story last night and I watched the hell out it. All the while I'm thinking, this is some creepy shit. I must have watched this a million time when I was a kid. How the hell did I not get creeped out by it? I still loved it though and can't wait for DS to watch it. If he doesn't like it, I think I may shun him, Eli style.

Anyone remember Return to Oz?
Terrifying!

I loved all of these. Makes me surprised that I don't read more fantasy books. I loved Return to Oz! I wanted that lunch pail tree. Does anyone remember Legend?
Yes!! Very creepy. Like, Pan's Labyrinth creepy.
ETA: How the hell did this stuff give me hours of enjoyment, but Freddie Krueger caused me years of insomnia? lol
:-S

I watched a couple episodes on YouTube a couple months ago (namely the Max Mouse episode). So outdated!
I ADORED the Dark Crystal! How could I forget about that movie?
I was flipping channels the other day and made my kids watch Fraggle Rock. My 5-yr old kept pointing out plot holes.

It sort of is like Neverending Story and Neverending Story 2 combined, but with some obvious differences.
I love that book.
Odd random side note: my cousin went to school when we were kids with a boy that said his father was working on Neverending Story 2 and was bragging that he knew what the theme song was. "Written on the pages is the answer to our neverending story. Neverending stooooory......TWO!"
Seriously....
Obviously he was wrong.
