Re: TTC Check In

  • How many months/cycles have you been TTC?
    yada yada yada.

Where are you in your cycle?
CD 22.  Something DPO based on my temps. I failed at temping this cycle, so I'm not sure exactly, which is a bummer- see below.

    Any plans for testing?
    Not this week.

Have you done anything different or plan to?
Plan to- RE appt on Wednesday.

Any goods or bads in life or with TTC?
Just annoyed that I failed temping this cycle.  I wish I knew when CD1 might be, because my appt is on Weds, and I really hope AF holds off until after then, so I can start any testing right away! (of course, that's just my guess.... who knows if that's even possible?)

    Thoughts, questions, concerns?
Just wondering if I'm correct in thinking that if AF holds off until after the appt on Wednesday, that I can probably start testing this cycle?  Or does it not matter?

CBHQ: What would your protocol be with visitors after baby is born? (I.E call before coming, come anytime, come and spend the night, etc)
Call before coming, for sure. I see no reason to change that rule just because there is a baby in the house. If anything, that rule becomes more important.

QOTD: Do you have any phobias? Have you ever tried getting over any of your phobias?

    Just the new one.   Bananas.

QOTD: When I say magical you think.....

    Magically delicious.

And unicorns- which are probably magically delicious.  Like 'Taste the Rainbow?'  Do you think their horn is like one of those twisty lollipops?  Yum.

  • How many months/cycles have you been TTC? 2/2

Where are you in your cycle? CD12.. waiting to O, but FF says it shouldn't be for another week.

    Any plans for testing? Nope

Have you done anything different or plan to? Charting/temping like a boss (I was really bad about it last month). I like to know what's going on. It's helping me get to know my cycle again since coming off BCP Trying to drink green tea.

Any goods or bads in life or with TTC? No. All the same for now..

Thoughts, questions, concerns? I started PNV that my OB/GYN prescribed and I've been breaking out like mad! Has anyone else had this problem?

CBHQ: What would your protocol be with visitors after baby is born? (I.E call before coming, come anytime, come and spend the night, etc) Definitely call before coming. In the beginning only close family would be allowed over until the baby has all vaccinations.

QOTD: Do you have any phobias? Have you ever tried getting over any of your phobias? Crickets!! I know they're essentially harmless, but I get the heebie-jeebies when I see them.

QOTD: When I say magical you think..... Bippity.. Boppity.. Boo. Like fairy godmother magical.

  • How many months/cycles have you been TTC?
    14 months, 6 cycles I think

Where are you in your cycle?
CD32, FF thought I was 11DPO, I proved FF wrong today...

    Any plans for testing?
I JUST used an OPK, it was positive as far as I can tell... and with the temp dip this morning I'm pretty sure today is gO day. <see what I did there? haha

Have you done anything different or plan to?
    Nope

Any goods or bads in life or with TTC?
Well.. besides FF being wrong and almost missing my O day, its going good I guess.

    Thoughts, questions, concerns?
    Not today.

CBHQ: What would your protocol be with visitors after baby is born? (I.E call before coming, come anytime, come and spend the night, etc)

Call before coming and probably limited stays. I really can't be sure until we are there though.

QOTD: Do you have any phobias? Have you ever tried getting over any of your phobias?
Nothing extreme, heights, but I can deal with them. Losing the ones I love.

QOTD: When I say magical you think.....
The first fallen snow, after dark, with the lights shining on the ground so it looks like glitter.
  • @ljraff29 - why are you taking RX PNV?? I would try the over the counter ones unless you RX is cheaper.

    Any plans for testing?

Have you done anything different or plan to? I was supposed to do nothing but I'm crazy and started temping to pin point O and then I continued to temp. I now put my thermometer away so hopefully I can hold off temping until next week.
I am thinking about trying the every other day method next month. Start at CD 13 and go until CD23.

Any goods or bads in life or with TTC? You already saw my previous post.

    Thoughts, questions, concerns?

CBHQ: What would your protocol be with visitors after baby is born? (I.E call before coming, come anytime, come and spend the night, etc) I would prefer the whole call before coming, I know my IL's will have some difficulty with that bc they never really called my SIL before going to visit her. Other than that my parents would probably spend a night every now and then because they live over an hour away. I have nothing against over night guests as long as the stay is minimal and they are helpful.

QOTD: Do you have any phobias? Have you ever tried getting over any of your phobias? I'm terrified of being in the ocean/bay/river. I start panicking instantly.
Other than that bees - I have nightmares about bees all the time.

  • How many months/cycles have you been TTC? 12 mos/ 12cycles (just realized last week that I had been posting a month and a cycle behind what I really was)

Where are you in your cycle? CD 17/3 dpo (I've been really bad with temping so FF hasn't marked it, but I've had 3 elevated temps)

    Any plans for testing? nope

Have you done anything different or plan to? We had ST every other day this time to see if that worked.

Any goods or bads in life or with TTC? I feel like ST is more timed now than anything, and I don't enjoy it as much.  Im trying to find a way to bring the fun back into it for me.  I also don't feel like I can tell DH this because I don't want to hurt his feelings.  I've also been down about this being 12 mos.

    Thoughts, questions, concerns?

CBHQ: What would your protocol be with visitors after baby is born? (I.E call before coming, come anytime, come and spend the night, etc) I don't know.  I want our families to be able to come and stay for a while (both live far away).  I would hate to ask my ILs to leave, but I'm sure they will be very opinionated.  I think call before coming if you are friends is a good policy. I'm terrible at saying no though.

QOTD: Do you have any phobias? Have you ever tried getting over any of your phobias? Snakes, spider, elevators, and apparently now bananas

QOTD: When I say magical you think..... unicorns, a picture perfect view, and presents!

Where are you in your cycle? CD 10

Any plans for testing? OPKs starting tomorrow, DH is OOT Sat/Sun so I'd like to know if I miss O or not. After that we're just winging it.

Have you done anything different or plan to? I'm barely charting, and not thinking about TTC at all. It's helped a lot, I was way over thinking it last month. (I thought I would try temping this month, but realized that would only make it worse)

Any goods or bads in life or with TTC? I feel more relaxed this cycle which is nice. I told my sister, mom, and SIL we are TTC and it really helped. None of them will ask questions and it's nice knowing we have some people rooting for us.

    Thoughts, questions, concerns?

CBHQ: What would your protocol be with visitors after baby is born? (I.E call before coming, come anytime, come and spend the night, etc) Definitely call before coming, and only family overnight.

  • @ljraff29 - why are you taking RX PNV?? I would try the over the counter ones unless you RX is cheaper.
My Dr. suggested I start them. My insurance is pretty good too (DH is a public school teacher), so I think it's cheaper. Before I saw my Dr. I was just taking my women's multi w/ folic acid and he said that was fine too. Sometimes I have trouble with nausea and vitamins, so I wanted to start the RX ones to adjust. I've just noticed I've been breaking out and that's the only change.

Where are you in your cycle? CD12 with ovulation due Sunday

Any plans for testing? Not until close to thanksgiving

Have you done anything different or plan to? Yes, we started using pre-seed as this is my fertile week and I'm taking evening primrose oil, too which is supposed to help with fertility and cm.

Any goods or bads in life or with TTC? BD is awesome, we keep it exciting and fun. Still bumming about last month's chemical pregnancy but trying to remain positive.

Thoughts, questions, concerns? Just nervous as to why I have been peeing so much lately. I don't think I'm drinking more fluids than normal. But maybe.

CBHQ: What would your protocol be with visitors after baby is born? (I.E call before coming, come anytime, come and spend the night, etc) Call before coming over, for sure. One of our mom's may stay with us a couple days to help out.

Have you done anything different or plan to? Waiting for my insurance ID (I threatened them with calling the BBB) so that I can pick up my Provera and Femara RX.

Any goods or bads in life or with TTC? Bad: I hate insurance companies. I need my meds dammit! Good: It's Thor'sday!

Thoughts, questions, concerns? I don't know what else I can do about this insurance company not giving me my ID number... today is 7 days since the f'n coverage started!

CBHQ: What would your protocol be with visitors after baby is born? (I.E call before coming, come anytime, come and spend the night, etc) I hope people would at least call before. If they just show up I could get annoyed depending on timing.

Honestly, though, I don't really know what to expect.  I should look back at all the threads before, asking about first appts... but I have already read them, and it just isn't sticking :)  Maybe I'm nervous :)

Any plans for testing? Not this month.

Have you done anything different or plan to? I'm starting to temp every day this month (tried last month and failed to stick with it). Next month will start OPKs.

Any goods or bads in life or with TTC? My last cycle had me on edge. I've been pretty regular since going off BCPs in January (28-30 day average with a max of 33 days) but last cycle AF decided to eff with me and I had a 45 day cycle. I tested every 3-4 days and got BFNs every time so I don't think it was anything chemical. Just a screwy cycle.

Thoughts, questions, concerns? Not at the moment!

  • edited November 2013
@zamboni00 good luck at your appointment Wednesday!!
@ljraff29 -- I've heard of other women breaking out more than usual on PNV's with DHA in it. Does your pill have that? Also it could just be your skin trying to get back to normal after being off HBC. Either way, it's a "wait it out" kind of thing, unfortunately!
    @blueeyedblossom - Have fun tonight ;) I hope you catch your O!
@sewilson33 -- I'm sorry you're having a rough day (hugs) I agree with the others from your other post, though. That's a lot for your H to digest first thing in the morning. I'm sure it's not easy for either of you, but just reiterate that you guys are a team and will get through this together! FX that you won't need further testing <3
@goodwolf -- I'm glad you are feeling more relaxed this cycle! I hope this means good things for you!
@arj14 -- I love your protocol for visiting policy. ;)
@transponster -- FX for good results from your testing! or at least a solid game plan for you and your H!
@islandmonkey8 -- Insurance companies suck so hard sometimes. I hope you got all your stuff squared away! How ready are you for vacation??! Eeeek!
@fembrist -- yeah, ditto the others, CD34 is annoying, but alas, still within the "normal" range. Also if this is your first cycle temping with FF, it's still getting used to your norms. So technically you should keep temping throughout the first couple of cycles. Eh I'm not explaining this well. For next time, stay the course and temp throughout. Regardless, FF taking your CH's away is super annoying. Hopefully this cycle comes to an end soon!
@mrsvedo -- This is my 3rd cycle off BCP, too, and I've had "normal" cycles since coming off bcp's (28-30 days) and I was like "pfft this is nothing! Easy peasy!" (LOL) and this current cycle comes along and completely throws off my averages. BAH HUMBUG. It happens! lol.

I'm sorry I'm just getting caught up on this now... they're piling a whole shitton of new work on me at work and now and it is severely cutting into my nesting time. Bah.

Any plans for testing? Saturday if my temp stays up. Not really feeling hopeful.

CBHQ: What would your protocol be with visitors after baby is born? (I.E call before coming, come anytime, come and spend the night, etc) I hope visiting is the same as it is now. IE: no one comes over, lol. Except my parents. They can come whenever they want. Mom has a key. lol

QOTD: Do you have any phobias? Have you ever tried getting over any of your phobias? I don't know if it's a phobia, but I hate driving next to big trucks on the highway. I hold my breath when I pass them... like that'd make ANY difference at all whatsoever.

QOTD: When I say magical you think..... Unicorns!

Yes! I do this too. If there are three lanes, I'll put a lane between me and the semi. And if H is driving I just have to close my eyes (if I'm driving I know I'm paying 1000% attention to what the truck is doing, but he doesn't seem as concerned... maybe I've just been cut off/almost run into too many times by inattentive semi drivers?). Don't even get me started on driving next to a semi in the rain.

CBHQ: What would your protocol be with visitors after baby is born? (I.E call before coming, come anytime, come and spend the night, etc) Definitely call before coming, but they can be on their way and minutes away. As long as I can KNOW before, I'd be good.

QOTD: Do you have any phobias? Have you ever tried getting over any of your phobias? Not that I can think of right now...

QOTD: When I say magical you think..... Disney and Harry Potter :)
