AW: 1 Month Appt Update

Adalyn is doing great! In the 50th percentile for weight, height and head size.

At birth she was 7lb 4oz and 18 1/2" long, and she's now 9lb 7oz and 21 1/4" long!

We did have to up her Zyrtec dosage. I've noticed her being more fussy lately, and with the weight gain the meds just aren't cutting it at the current dosage.

We're also going to supplement BF with vitamin D drops. Since I had cranial synostosis as a baby (premature closure of the soft spots which resulted in surgery) I want to be extra cautious with little one. Doctor says the vitamin D will be great to help avoid that as well as other issues.

So overall a great appointment. :)

Re: AW: 1 Month Appt Update

  • Glad it was a good appointment! I thought Vit D drops were standard for BF babies because it is the one thing that can't be transferred through BFing.

  • I'm glad to hear vitamin D is standard, I don't know why I wasn't told about it before. I hope my LO likes it too! Were going to start it today. :)

And @MRads I hope she doesn't need surgery either. Chances are she won't. It's a very rare disorder. So that makes me feel a little better.

  • Glad it went well! Yes, our Dr put DS on vitD as standard for BF babies, but if it helps, then obviously it's for more than just because we don't provide enough
