Re: 3T Check-In

  • Nada to update. Expecting AF this weekend.

QOTW: My absolute favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner is the green bean casserole, hands down. I grew up calling it M----- beans (after my grandparents' last name). I seriously never knew it was a thing anyone else made until I was older and it was all over the backs of the green bean cans! Haha. I could eat green bean casserole for a week straight as leftovers. The crunchy onions on top are the best part!

I also lurrrrrve me some jellied cranberry sauce.

Nothing new here. We are going to start house-hunting after Thanksgiving. Once we get settled into a new place (likely early 2014) we are hoping to start our adoption homestudy. I am getting the Paragard IUD inserted on Nov. 18th in hopes of avoiding pregnancy/loss while in the adoption process.

I like ALL the Thanksgiving food. All of it. Yum.

ETA: for the first time in a while I actually bought tampons before AF came. It was weird.

    Married August 2009

  • No updates here. 3w post D&C and just waiting. It's nice not to think about doctors appointments for a while.

QOTW: Dutch Apple pie and that's about it.

  • Update: Not much. Still doing acupuncture, still no caffeine, still no booze.

QOTW: I love green bean casserole!

FFC: DH and I discussed Christmas gifts this weekend. We will probably know if IVF worked by Christmas, so we decided to make sure we had really nice "YAY!" gifts or really nice consolation gifts. I feel kind of guilty for spending money when we're doing this cycle, but if this doesn't work, at least I'll have pretty earrings, right?

Pregnancy was never the end goal; being a mom was.
I've been holding out on GP: I got drunk once and started a blog: Here it is (11/7 update)
    3T<3

  • Update: this is my first month after a med break...I'm honestly hating the meds and I'd DH were open to adoption I'd be moving into that option. QOTW: I make an awesome cranberry salad and MIL usually has champagne punch FFC...I hit my shed with my DHs car tonight and really thought about playing stupid.
"I said what I meant and I meant what I said, an elephant's faithful 100%" Dr. Seuss, Horton Hatches The Egg. My Ovulation Chart Ttc buddies with LexiMS!
  • Update:  Saline sono this week showed a polyp in my uterus so I'm working on getting a hysteroscopy scheduled asap.  I have my HSG tomorrow afternoon and then Dh has his S/A on Wednesday.  We have our follow up appointment on the 20th to go over all of our results and establish a plan so we should have some answers soon.

QOTW:  Mmmm Thanksgiving.  I love stuffing and pumpkin pie the most.  My favorite thing though is left overs; I feel like Thanksgiving dinner always tastes better the next day.

  • Nothing new here. I may have a stress fracture in my foot (hence the lovely boot) but I'm trying to not let it get me down.  Don't worry, I'm taking it easy because I don't want to have to go back to the doctor again, but I don't want to stop working out either.  My new trainer is killer.  KILLLLLLLER.  Hopefully, the weight will start falling off soon.   Oh, and I'm EWCMing all over errything up in here.  Where these regular cycles came from all of a sudden, I do not know.  But I do not like it unless it actually works to get me pregnant.  Otherwise, I'd like to go back to bleeding once a year.

I cried last night because Jimothy said, "Well, now that your body is working, we know that I'm the problem and reason why we aren't parents."  Shot that shit right down.  I cried because I feel so horrible that he is blaming himself. And no matter what I say, the science says that I am ovulating now, which was my issue before and therefore that leaves our lack of sperm as a major roadblock. But science is not how our relationship gets maintained, so I assured him that it will always be OUR problem, no matter what is happening.  It just breaks my heart that he feels responsible.

  • @flamingo86 - hope the house process is easy and quick for you!

@aimothy - sorry that you had to have that conversation but yeah for your body working. @CincodeMayoLove said what I would've about science, it's not perfect. Hope your foot heals fast, there is lots you can still do with the boot.

  • No update here. AF is here, which is slightly exciting because I O'd without Clomid for once, but I'm not taking it to mean anything. Still on a break. I fell back a few steps in the weight loss department but I'm trying to pick myself up by the bootstraps and just get it done. The fact is, meds are making me ovulate, but not getting me KU. The next step is IUI and my BMI is just too high. So there's that. Awesome.

QOTW - I want allllllllllllllllllllll the Thanksgiving dinner!! But mostly turkey and stuffing.

Also, as a side note, I was thinking last night about how much IF sucks but how much I love all of you girls. <3

*giant squishy hugs* for you and Jim. IF or being 3t is so hard, especially this far into the game. I am so happy for you that you are ovulating! That is a huuuuge accomplishment.  Is it thanks to all your amazing weight loss efforts, perhaps?

I know it's hard to hear Jim blame himself.  As the person who is solely responsible for our IF, it is really hard on my ego to bear thst responsibility.  H has never done anything to make me feel that way, but I feel like sometimes he would have been better off married to a fertile. Anyways,  I know my re has a psychologist or therapist on the team and I am considering that option, just because I need to stop feeling this way. Maybe Jimothy could benefit from some counseling? I just find that no matter how much h tells me it doesn't matter, I still can't stop blaming myself.
