Re: QOTD 11/8

  • I am literally shaped like a muscular ice cream cone.  Huge shoulders/chest and no hips or ass--typical for gymnasts/swimmers, which I did both.

I like denim that stretches to fit my crazy muscular legs, isn't too baggy in the back, and has a mid rise.  I can't stand low rise jeans.  I also like a dark wash and a slim, straight leg--helps me look longer.

I switch brands all the time, and am in the market for jeans so I can't wait to hear your favorites!

  • I can only wear Old Navy. I'm a bigger girl to begin with, I have a huge butt and hips. But I have even bigger thighs. So far they are the only jeans I have found that fit me and don't give me super muffin top, bonus that they are dirt cheap.

  • Ugh, jeans, the bane of my existence.  I have the hardest time finding jeans because I have really long legs. Like a 36" inseam.  So, a lot of times I will buy them online on www.longtallsally.com. I don't think I've ever bought a pair of jeans from a store that fit me well. I can almost always find dress pants at New York and Company for work, but for whatever reason, their jeans never fit me.

  • I usually wear the Modern Straight jeans from the Loft...those seem to fit me really well.

For the lab, I like boot cut jeans...I'm currently wearing ones from the Limited that have a few holes in them. Although I look the part of a poor grad student, I think it's time for some new ones!

I only wear dark washes...I think it's much more flattering

  • I don't like jeans, I know, I'm weird.  I have one pair of jeggings and any pair of jeans I've own have been stretch of some kind.  Most days I wear black pants.
  • I'm short and have some curves, so finding jeans that can fit my butt without having a huge gap in the back is always a pain.  I learned how to hem jeans a long time ago, so I don't even worry about the length anymore.  I typically wear skinny jeans, but I also like trouser fit and boot cut.

I actually hit up Marshall's and TJ Maxx for my jeans.  I'll pull like 20 off the rack and I'll usually end up with 2-3 pairs that fit well.  The biggest thing for me is the back pockets have to look good.  I hate it when they are half way on my butt and half way down my thigh.  Oh, and I hate jeans that have the faded stripes where your knees are supposed to bend to make them look worn.  The stripes are always on my calf instead of the knee because I'm so short, so it just looks stupid.

  • Old Navy Sweetheart jeans :x  Used to only wear bootcut, but I'm liking the skinnies with my boots.

  • Maternity, lol.

I have no butt so these are literally the first jeans I have ever worn that don't have a tendency to slide off in the back. And as a bonus, the back pockets actually sit where they are supposed to!
  • I am a pear shape. I always got old navy sweetheart jeans also. They changed their materials though so they wear really fast. I did get a pair of Old Navy Divas on clearance and really like those.

  • I love to wear jeans, but pants in general suck on me. I am round-bellied, but I have no hips and no butt, and I'm fairly small on my bottom half. Anything low rise slips off of my belly and there's nothing to hold them up, so those don't work. Unless they are stretchy, forget finding any that fit my belly because then they swallow my legs. I definitely do stretchy.

Occasionally American Eagle jeans aren't too bad, but they tend to get baggy in the butt. I usually love Earl jeans and could find them at Stein Mart, but I haven't found any there in a while. They're higher cut, they are stretchy, and they usually have pretty pockets. I like back pockets with a flap and button typically. Most of the time they make my butt look better. haha. Once I went to Buckle to try and find jeans for e-pics...those poor salespeople...I think they brought me every style they had and none fit my body right.

  • I get all my clothes from Lane Bryant or their partner Catherine's. I get jeans from Lane Bryant since they are more comfortable and they don't have the stretchy waist bands like Catherine's. I buy my work clothes from Catherine's and my everyday wear from Lane Bryant.

  • I hate jeans!  They are so stressful.  I am a fan of White House Black Market jeans.  I have a few pairs that I love.  I've recently discovered The Limited jeans and those are ok.  I have trouser jeans, which are very comfy.  I also have their skinnies.  They fit me better 10 pounds ago.  Now, they sort of slide down my butt and get annoying, but I still wear them.

I have a butt and thighs.  I hate low rise because then my crack hangs out.
  • Lately, I've been getting jeans at Old Navy. I've been a sucker for the Flirt style. I think the only other brand I have is a cheap pair of walmart jeans I specifically wear to work. (Don't feel nearly as bad about spilling chemicals on cheap jeans)
I am guilty of having a butt and thighs. This is one of the few brands that fit well for me.

  • I wear whatever fits! I don't really have a bum so I have a hard time finding any that fit. I'm also not too sure what size I am after 2 babies Lol somewhere between 8-12 I guess?
