Suspended License - Why would it be that..

What the heck would cause someone to have a suspended license multiple times years apart?

Not paying insurance?

Re: Suspended License - Why would it be that..

  • I have no idea...but my best guess would be non-payment of tickets. They pay, the license is restored, then a new ticket gets delinquent and the cycle repeats.
  • Frequent moving?  My license was temporarily suspended when I last moved because I didn't know the previous state I lived in required plates to be turned in or a fine to be paid.
  • I know someone who was arrested (can't remember what for), but her license was suspended for a while and she was only allowed to drive to work and back

  • Failure to pay child support. Suspends it each month of non-payment.
  • A lot of things can get a license suspended.  Too many speeding tickets or a few speeding tickets in the reckless operations range.  Too many accidents, no insurance coverage etc.  That is not counting DUI's and other risky behavior which tend to be automatic licenses suspension.
    • Failure to pay child support
    • Outstanding tickets/warrants
    • Failure to provide proof of insurance
    • Amount of tickets/violation points
    • DUI
